2013年7月22日,甘肃省定西市岷县发生MS6.6地震,造成了严重的人员伤亡和经济损失.地震发生于青藏高原东北部边缘与甘肃东南部地区的交界处,是该区域一百多年以来发生的最大地震.分析本次地震观测数据显示,岷县MS6.6地震产生的地震地面运动呈现出明显的区域变化特征.为了研究这种区域变化特征,本文使用全球CRUST1.0和SRTM30模型数据建立了甘肃岷县及周边地区的地下三维传播介质模型,使用并行的三维有限差分方法进行了岷县地震的区域地震波传播模拟,并与研究区内数字地震台网记录的地震观测资料进行对比.通过分析地面运动的峰值速度和持续时间的区域分布特征,发现:在青藏高原东北部边缘,较大的地形起伏对地面运动的峰值速度分布起主要影响作用;在青藏高原外围地区,地形起伏较小,而沉积层主要影响地面运动的峰值速度和持续时间,从而导致了明显的盆地效应,如地面运动的振幅放大和持续时间加长.因此,研究区剧烈的地形起伏和表层沉积层是影响地面运动的重要因素.  相似文献

In this paper, the focal mechanisms of Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake sequence since October 2013 are calculated with the method developed recently by Snoke, which combines the use of first motion of P, SV and SH waves and their amplitude ratios(referred to as Snoke method). We estimate the difference(also referred to consistency parameter θ)between the stress axis direction of focal mechanism solution and the mean stress tensor on one hand, and get the relative changes of focal mechanisms rather than the focal mechanisms themselves on the other hand, by using methods of correlation coefficient of body-wave spectral amplitudes, first motions and amplitude ratios of vertical P wave of single station, as limited by the network layout and density of observation points, focal mechanism solutions of small earthquakes are not easy to obtain. We studied the changing process of focal mechanisms of Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake sequence since October 2013 with many methods such as consistency parameter, correlation coefficient of body-wave spectral amplitudes, first motion and amplitude ratio of vertical P wave of single station, to determine the type of the sequence. The result shows that: before Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake of April 20, 2014, the consistency parameter of the earthquake sequence was lower than the mean for a long period, correlation coefficient of body-wave spectral amplitudes was always at high values(about 0.9), odds ratio of first motions of vertical P wave of single station near the epicenter, defined as the ratio of predominant number to contrast number of first motions, was up to 13.8 at station SJH, 3.8 at BZY and 3.6 at LNA, respectively; first motions of vertical P wave of single station showed an obvious predominant distribution as a whole, and the amplitude ratios of vertical P were consistent, which suggests that before Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake, focal mechanisms were consistent, so the earthquake sequence before Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake is the foreshock sequence. After Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake, correlation coefficient of body-wave spectral amplitudes was lower(about 0.6), first motions and amplitude ratios of vertical P wave of single station were in disorder, which suggest that the focal mechanisms are inconsistent after the Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake, so the earthquake sequence after Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake is the aftershock sequence, and subsequent larger earthquakes are not likely to occur. The focal mechanisms in Huoshan region during the period of Huoshan MS4.3 earthquake experienced a process from scattering to convergency and to scattering again.  相似文献

实际记录到的真实地震动在工程结构的抗震研究、分析和设计中往往作为一种施加到结构上使结构振动,直至破坏的地震荷载.如何合理选择真实的地震动记录作为研究结构地震反应的输入,一直是国内外抗震研究和设计中引人关注的重要问题.本文首先提出了最不利设计地震动的概念;然后在收集到的国内外5000余条被认为有重要意义的地震动记录基础上,利用综合估计地震动潜在破坏势的方法,对4种场地类型分别给出了长周期、短周期和中周期结构的国内外最不利设计地震动;最后通过几类不同结构的地震反应分析,初步验证了本文所确定的最不利设计地震动的可靠性和合理性.   相似文献

Observation has been conducted on soft surface ground with a sloping basement to clarify the effects of lateral inhomogeneity on ground motions and strains induced by seismic waves and to examine the frequency characteristics of the ground surface motions. The scattered Rayleigh wave from the vicinity of the sloping basement has been detected on seismograms and is observed to have a large influence on the ground motions and strains. In this paper the response of the ground is simulated using a hybrid method which combines a particle model and finite element method (FEM). The computed seismograms are in good agreement with observed ones. It is found from the calculations that large ground strains are produced by the scattered Rayleigh waves as well as by the incident shear waves in the surface ground overlying the sloping basement. In addition, the effects of lateral inhomogeneity on an embedded pipeline are examined. The present results are considered to be significant from the viewpoint of earthquake engineering.  相似文献

How to select the adequate real strong earthquake ground motion for seismic analysis and design of trucures is an essential problem in earthquake engineering research and practice.In the paper the concept of the severest design ground motion is proposed and a method is developed for comparing the severity of the recorded strong ground motions.By using this method the severest earthquake ground motions are selected out as seismic inputs to the structures to be designed from a database that consists of more than five thousand significant strong ground moton records collected over the world.The selected severest ground motions are very likely to be able to drive the structures to their critical response and thereby result in the highest damage potential.It is noted that for different structures with diffferent predominant natural periods and at different sites where structures are located the severest design ground motions are usually different.Finally.two examples are illustrated to demonstrate the rationality of the concept and the reliability of the selected design motion.  相似文献

目前很多研究者采用随机有限断层模型预测地震动并被证明是可行的.本文运用随机有限断层地震动叠加合成方法,模拟了1988年肃南5.7级地震,与实际记录进行对比分析,发现:用有限断层方法模拟得到的峰值加速度以及峰值加速度出现所对应的特征时刻与真实记录较为吻合;比较模拟的地震动反应谱和实际记录的加速度反应谱,总体上在工程感兴趣的频段内,有限断层方法拟合的结果基本能满足实际工作的需要.为进一步开拓该方法在工程应用中的前景,以兰州市柴家峡水电站为例,将此理论方法应用于缺乏强震记录地区的近场地震动估计中,模拟分析了马衔山北缘活动断裂发震时在坝址区产生的地震动特征,其近场合成结果与1125年兰州7.0级地震的烈度分布符合较好,可供工程抗震设计参考使用.  相似文献

An effort is made to examine the properties of rotational (torsional and rocking) ground motions using Chiba dense array data. The Chiba array system, located 30 km east of Tokyo, Japan, is composed of 15 boreholes with separation distances varying from 5 to 320 m. This provides a unique opportunity to examine the characteristics of rotational components. For this purpose, 17 events are considered and rotational ground motions are evaluated using spatial derivatives of translational ones. The effects of seismological parameters and separation distances between stations on properties of rotational motions are examined, showing a sudden increase in rotational motions for the earthquakes with large magnitude or PGA and decrease of these motions with increasing separation distance. While the duration of torsional motion is found to be larger than translational ones, there is no significant difference between durations of rocking and vertical motions. The effects of separation distance and earthquake magnitude on rotational response spectra are also investigated. The normalized rotational response spectra are found to be strongly affected by separation distance. The spectral ratios of rotational and translational motions are not linearly proportional to period as suggested by the previous studies. Finally, the torsional motion is predicted from translation ones for different separation distances at the site. The comparison of the predicted and the calculated torsional motions reveals a weak estimation in close separation distances (<30m) and satisfactory predictions in other cases. Site response to earthquake loading is one of the fundamental problems in geotechnical earthquake engineering. Most site response analyses assume vertically propagating shear waves in a horizontally layered soil–rock system and simply ignore the effect of site response to vertical earthquake motion, although actual ground motions are comprised of both horizontal and vertical components. In several recent earthquakes very strong vertical ground motions have been recorded, raising great concern over the potential effect of vertical motion on engineering structures. Being a step toward addressing this concern, this paper presents a simple and practical procedure for analysis of site response to both horizontal and vertical earthquake motions. The procedure involves the use of the dynamic stiffness matrix method and equivalent-linear approach, and is built in the modern MATLAB environment to take full advantages of the matrix operations in MATLAB. The input motions can be specified at the soil–bedrock interface or at a rock outcropping. A detailed assessment of the procedure is given, which shows that the procedure is able to produce acceptable predictions of both vertical and horizontal site responses.  相似文献

The linear and non-linear responses of surface soil layers have been predicted through the simultaneous simulation test against the observed ground motions at the six sites in Kobe City during the 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu earthquake. The total stress analysis method and the effective stress analysis method have been applied for the rough and detailed verification of the predicted non-linear dynamic behavior at the PIS and RKI sites including the liquefaction phenomenon. The shear strain distribution along depth, the ratio of excess pore water pressure to initial effective stress, the liquefaction strength parameters to initial effective stress, and the stress–strain curve during the earthquake at the PIS site have been investigated when the predicted ground motion could simulate successfully the observed acceleration time histories and response spectra in the non-linear range.  相似文献

Records of the 1999 Chi–Chi earthquake, provided by the Dahan downhole array were analyzed, and nonlinear hysteretic stress–strain relations in the soil layers were estimated by the method previously used for studying the response of soils during the 1995 Kobe and the 2000 Tottori earthquakes. The obtained models of the soil behavior were applied for evaluating changes of the shear moduli in the soil layers and for the nonlinear identification of the soil behavior at Dahan site during the Chi–Chi earthquake. We found that reduction of the shear moduli in the soil layers did not exceed 5%, and the soil response was virtually linear. The content of the nonlinear components in the soil response was about 5% of the intensity of the response, and it was mostly due to the odd-order nonlinearities. A similarity in the stress–strain relations describing the behavior of soils during the 1995 Kobe earthquake, the 2000 Tottori earthquake, and the 1999 Chi–Chi earthquake was found, which indicates the possibility to describe the behavior of similar types of soils at different sites by similar stress–strain relations and predict soil behavior in future earthquakes.  相似文献

借助有限元数值方法模拟不同砂土试样在多向和单向地震荷载输入条件下的动三轴试验,选取覆盖大震、中震、近场、远场及不同土质条件的155组多向地震输入时程对不同砂土试样分别进行单向和多向加载,建立考虑多向地震荷载作用的等效循环周数计算方法,并研究震级、震中距和砂土特性对等效循环周数比的影响。研究表明,震级和震中距对等效循环周数比影响不明显,砂土特性对等效循环周数比的影响具有主导作用,砂土相对密度为45%、60%、80%和100%时,其对应的等效循环周数比均值分别为1.58、1.75、1.93和2.08,相对密度越大,比值越大,结合该比值,可以较好地应用文中提出方法进行多维地震荷载等效循环周数计算。  相似文献

We present our study of the wave propagation in an irregularly layered, elastic wave-guide excited by incoming Rayleigh surface waves and P and SV body waves. Our aim is to show examples of applying a method that will make it possible to analyze the distribution and amplification of displacements, rotations, curvatures, strains, and stresses on or below the ground surface during passage of strong earthquake ground motion. We employ the weighted-residuals method, which makes it possible to calculate the scattered and diffracted waves, and then we illustrate the amplification of motions in the vicinity of inhomogeneity.  相似文献

In this paper, a comprehensive investigation of the effect of spatially varying earthquake ground motions on the stochastic response of bridges isolated with friction pendulum systems is performed. The spatially varying earthquake ground motions are considered with incoherence, wave-passage and site-response effects. The importance of the site-response effect, which arises from the difference in the local soil conditions at different support points of the isolated bridge, is investigated particularly. Mean of maximum and variance response values obtained from the spatially varying earthquake ground motions are compared with those of the specialised cases of the ground motion model. It is shown that site-response component of the spatially varying earthquake ground motion model has important effects on the stochastic response of the isolated bridges. Therefore, to be more realistic in calculating the isolated bridge responses, the spatially varying earthquake ground motions should be incorporated in the analysis.  相似文献

震害资料显示,场地条件对地震动特性以及工程结构破坏程度影响显著。为减少因场地效应而造成的经济损失和社会影响,在进行场地地震反应分析时,需最大限度地减小因场地土层模型参数的不确定性引起的地震动评估偏差,为工程结构地震反应分析选取并生成适当的地震动输入。随着强震动观测技术的逐渐发展,大量可靠的钻井台阵记录为地震过程中场地观测点的动力反应提供了直接数据。以美国加州地区La Cienega钻井台阵强震动观测数据为基础,利用互相关函数,对不同强度地震作用下场地土层的平均剪切波速进行分析,并在此基础上,以Cyclic 1D为模拟平台,建立一维自由场地地震反应有限元分析模型。分析结果表明:通过钻井台阵地震动观测数据识别,得到场地平均剪切波速,能够反映该场地的动力特性,数值模拟计算结果和台阵地震动记录基本吻合,可为数值模型参数选取提供依据。  相似文献

Array observation is an efficient tool to investigate various characteristics of earthquake ground motion. However, seismographs used in arrays may involve unexpected errors in their orientations. Methods of orientation error estimation were developed in three-dimensional space by comparing recorded ground motions at a reference point with those at a checking point. A maximum cross-correlation method and a maximum coherence method were proposed and their accuracy was demonstrated. The earthquake ground motions recorded in the Chiba array and in two other arrays were used in numerical examples. Non-trivial orientation errors were detected for all these arrays. The cross-correlation coefficients and the coherence values between two points increased significantly by correcting the estimated orientation errors.  相似文献

As a deterministic numerical approach for simulation of earthquake ground motions, the spectral element method (SEM) is applied to generate a broadband acceleration array for dam-canyons instead of the traditional empirical or stochastic methods. Specifically, the SEM analysis model with an extra fine mesh is used for the Pacoima Canyon to simulate the entire path starting from earthquake source rupture via the propagation medium to the local site. The source and the 3D earth model (velocity structure) are validated through the modeling of the Newhall earthquake on 28 October 2012 at a frequency of up to 8 Hz. Subsequently, the San Fernando earthquake records on 13 January 2001 are further used to study the effects of propagation path in simulation. Finally, the spatially varying ground motions at the Pacoima Canyon are obtained for different source mechanisms. The results show that the source mechanism and the local site topography significantly affect the distribution of the peak accelerations along the canyon.  相似文献

We studied the long-period ground motions in the Osaka sedimentary basin, Japan, which contains a 1- to 3-km thickness of sediments and is the site of many buildings or construction structures with long-natural period. We simulated the broadband ground motions likely to be produced by the hypothetical Nankai earthquake: the earthquake expected to give rise to the most severe long-period ground motion within the basin. For the simulation, we constructed multiscale heterogeneous source models based on the Central Disaster Management Council of Japan (CDMC) source model and adopted a hybrid computation method in which long-period motion and short-period motion are computed using a 3-D finite difference method and the stochastic Green’s function method, respectively. In computing long-period motions, we used a 3-D structure model of the crust and the Osaka sedimentary basin. The ground motions are estimated to have peak velocities of 50–90 cm/s, prolonged durations exceeding 300 s, and long predominant periods of 5–10 s in the area with great thickness of sediments. The predominant periods are in agreement with an approximate evaluation by 4 H/V s where H and V s are the thickness of the sediment and the average S wave velocity, respectively.  相似文献
