本文考虑一个包含岩浆囊和火山隆起的三维黏弹性地壳有限元模型,通过数值模拟的方法揭示了岩浆活动与构造应力之间的相互作用.首先,在底部岩浆的持续补给作用下,总结了火山地表形变、应力大小和岩浆囊过剩压力在岩浆补给不同状态下的特征和表象;同时本文研究了构造应力场变化对火山岩浆囊应力的影响,发现10 MPa的板块应力作用能够引起岩浆囊内±1.2~1.6 MPa的压力变化,这个量级足以对岩浆囊形成扰动,从而引发各种火山活动.  相似文献

介绍了中国大陆全新世活动火山喷发危险性的评价与活动性分类。火山喷发危险性评价是进行火山活动性分类的基础,参照国外火山活动度水平与火山警报等级,根据火山动力背景特征与火山前兆异常特征确定了中国火山喷发危险性评价等级,它们是安全、注意、警惕、警报、危险、灾害、灾难等7级。根据火山活动的危险性,将中国火山的活动性分为4类:1)处于活动状态的火山——长白山天池火山,已经进入扰动期;2)有活动迹象的火山——腾冲火山,仍然处于平静状态,存在潜在的喷发危险;3)有潜在活动可能的火山,包括五大连池、镜泊湖与海口火山,各种地球物理、地球化学观察都处于背景值范围;4)活动性不明的火山  相似文献

长白山火山跨越中朝两国,在我国境内包括天池火山、望天鹅火山、图们江火山和龙岗火山,火山活动从上新世持续到近代,是我国最大的第四纪火山分布区。长白山火山的母岩浆是钾质粗面玄武岩,将长白山火山岩区称钾质粗面玄武岩省,岩浆结晶分异作用和混合作用主导了岩浆演化过程。天池火山之下地壳岩浆房和地幔岩浆房具双动式喷发特点,一方面来自地幔的钾质粗厨玄武岩浆直接喷出地表;另一方面钾质粗面玄武岩浆持续补给地壳岩浆房,发生岩浆分离结晶作用和混合作用,导致双峰式火山岩分布特征和触发千年大喷发。西太平洋板块俯冲-东北亚大陆弧后引张是长白山火山活动的动力学机制。  相似文献

通过对涠洲岛南湾火山火山口的地质地貌、射气喷发基浪堆积、岩浆爆破喷发产物及海蚀火山地貌的研究,表明南湾火山是一巨型射气岩浆喷发火山,火山口位于南湾海中。推测涠洲岛的火山活动始于晚第三纪,更新世南湾火山喷发形成涠洲岛的现代地貌。  相似文献

本文利用有限元及有限差分的方法,对壳内岩浆房或岩浆囊中的岩浆在构造应力及由于围岩与岩浆的密度差产生的浮力作用下,沿已有断层向上运移的动力学过程进行了数值模拟.在岩浆囊顶部与上覆岩层接触处,沿着已有微小破裂,岩浆在一定超压力条件下使已有断层张开并继续向上延伸,从而形成岩浆向上运移的通道.研究了岩浆黏度、密度差、模型深度对最小超压力(岩浆运移到地表所需的最小岩浆房超压力)的影响.在10 km深度的地壳中,若岩浆黏度为0.1~103 Pa·s,当超压力达到17~20 MPa时,岩浆压力可以驱动岩浆运移到地表层;同时,岩浆动力黏度越大,使岩脉运移到地表需要的超压力就越大.当密度差为300~700 kg·m-3,其变化对超压力的影响比较小.本文亦对比了三维应力条件和二维平面应变条件下不同结果,比较了不同条件下岩浆运移造成的地表垂直位移变化.结合长白山天池火山地区的区域地质环境,对长白山天池火山岩浆运移条件进行了参数试验性计算分析,估算了在给定长白山天池火山模型条件下地下可能存在的岩浆囊的大小,其结果对认识长白山天池火山地区岩浆活动及相关的预测和监控有参考意义.  相似文献

在综合分析前人有关腾冲火山研究成果的基础上,对该区火山活动的研究现状,火山活动特征,火山活动背景及火山活动与深部岩浆侵入活动的关系等进行了评述。认为腾冲火山群中存在全新世活火山,现今处于休眠状态,具有再次喷发的潜在危险性,因此,进一步深入研究腾冲火山在全新世活动的时间分布规律,对于在该区开展火山活动监测,减灾防灾等方面具有重要意义。  相似文献

沿科洛—五大连池—二克山NNW向分布的五大连池火山带上分布了约40座第四纪单成因火山。通过野外地质特征结合火山岩年代学数据分析表明,研究区火山活动分为2期:上新世—早更新世期火山活动主要分布在北部的科洛火山区,以熔岩溢流式喷发为主;中更新世—全新世期火山活动分布在整个火山带,爆破式喷发形成大量火山碎屑锥,溢流式喷发产生结壳熔岩、渣状熔岩与块状熔岩,形成广泛分布的熔岩流。野外调查发现了夏威夷型、斯通博利型与强斯通博利型等岩浆爆破式火山喷发的典型堆积剖面,首次发现并报道研究区射汽岩浆型火山喷发堆积剖面。结合火山活动历史与火山地质特征,分析认为五大连池火山带的火山系统仍有再次活动的潜力。基于火山时空分布与喷发特征,文中对五大连池火山带未来可能喷发的方式和危险区进行评估。如若发生强斯通博利型喷发,将形成高度10km的喷发柱,产生的火山灰一般不会对航空运输产生影响;斯通博利型喷发产生的火山碎屑最远可抛射约1km;夏威夷型喷发及溢流式喷发产生的熔岩流是主要的灾害源,计算得出结壳熔岩运移的距离为3. 0~13. 5km,渣状熔岩运移的距离为2. 9~14. 9km;射汽岩浆型喷发产生的基浪速度可达200~400m/s,运移距离≤10km,是潜在的重要灾害类型,应该引起更多重视,并积极进行防范。  相似文献

海口地区的马鞍岭-雷虎岭火山群是中国为数不多的几个休眠火山群之一。通过对区域火山活动期次划分、深部岩浆囊探测以及对火山类型、规模、物质组成和溶岩覆盖面积的分析,总结了海口地区火山活动的时、空、强特征。结合对火山区地震、地磁、体应变和地热等观测资料的分析,对火山区深部岩浆活动的状态进行了初步评估。研究认为海口全新世火山区最后一次火山喷发距今约4 000a左右,其现今火山活动已趋于平静,未来的火山活动可能向1605年琼州7.5级大地震震中区迁移  相似文献

地震和火山都反映了地球表层的构造活动,因而地震活动区往往也是火山活动区。根据全球大震、火山活动目录,分析研究了全球地震、火山分布的特征。描述了各区的地震、火山活动分布,总结了地震、火山活动强度的时、空分布特征。全球地震、火山活动可以分为碰撞带、大陆区和大洋区。大陆地震以其片状的分散分布而不同于板块边缘的带状分布,大陆火山活动比大洋火山更受应力场的影响。大洋区地震活动相对较弱,岩浆活动主要是平静的岩浆溢出与洋中脊的扩张,往往没有形成火山喷发。有记录的火山喷发主要来自深部地幔的热柱。俯冲-碰撞活动区地震活动与火山喷发最强烈,大角度俯冲的弧后火山活动最强,当板块运动方向与板块边缘走向成小角度相交时,缺少正面俯冲的动力,火山活动相对平静。>500km深震的地段,火山活动较弱。火山与地震强烈活动的大多在大地水准面(Geoid)异常高的区域。地震与火山平均纬度随时间表现出同步的变化外,火山和大震活动也显示了大致同步的变化  相似文献

在过去几年里,长白山天池火山观测到了明显的地震活动增加、地表抬升和膨胀以及多种流体化学异常。地震学研究和形变模拟表明,长白山天池火山近年来的活动可能是由其下方的岩浆活动引起的。1993年以来,腾冲火山出现强烈的水热活动。地球化学参数的变化表明,气体源区的深度逐渐增加。火山区存在的震群活动、部分台站观测到的S波阴影区以及地表的缓慢抬升等,指示火山区存在一个岩浆系统。监测研究结果表明,目前我国大陆其他火山的活动性较弱。  相似文献

The Changbaishan Tianchi volcano is composed of the basaltic rocks at the shield-forming stage, the trachyte and pantellerite at the cone-forming stage and modern eruption. Studies on their REE, incompatible elements and Sr, Nd, Pb isotopes suggest that rocks at different stages have a common magma genesis and close evolution relationship with differentiation crystallization playing the key role. The co-eruption of basaltic trachyandesite magma and pantellerite magma indicates that there exist both crustal magma chamber and mantle magma reservoir beneath the Tianchi volcano. 介绍了采用精密大地测量的方法,对腾冲火山区域的水平形变情况进行了探索。通过两期相距38年的实测数据,对火山“休眠期”中岩浆活动与地壳局部变形的相关性进行研究,并提供了部分计算结果。作者认为,采用精密大地测量的方法对火山区域地壳变形进行研究是可行的;火山区域水平形变与构造形变的区别是存在的;腾冲火山区内近几十年内岩浆的动也是明显的,但目前总体为间歇性收缩期;从水平形变测量的结果来看,显示了南面活跃的迹象;且认为可能是岩浆囊的存在才会引起此大范围的地壳活动。  相似文献

论述了腾冲火山地区流动数字化台网的建设与观测过程。根据腾冲台网记录的各种微震图像,将其进行分类分析。主要有包络型事件、微构造破裂事件、汽爆事件、高频地震和小震群。由震相分析判断热海台记录到岩浆熔融体上的反射SxS波,腾冲地震台记录到S波不发育图像。表明腾冲火山区南部存在岩浆熔融体,估计距地表5~8km。腾冲台网观测表胆腾冲火山区周边地区地震活动水平明显高于火山区,火山区南部的马鞍山热海一带是腾冲火  相似文献

Magma transfer processes at persistently active volcanoes are distinguished by the large magma flux required to sustain the prodigious quantities of heat and gas emitted at the surface. Although the resulting degassed magma has been conjectured to accumulate either deep within the volcanic edifice or in the upper levels of the sub-edifice system, no direct evidence for such active accumulation has been reported. Temporal gravity data are unique in being able to quantify mass changes and have been successfully used to model shallow magma movements on different temporal scales, but have not generally been applied to the investigation of postulated long-term accumulation of magma at greater spatial scales within volcanic systems. Here, we model the critical data acquisition parameters required to detect mass flux at volcanoes, we review existing data from a number of volcanoes that exemplify the measurement of shallow mass changes and present new data from Poas and Telica volcanoes. We show that if a substantial proportion of degassed magma lodges within the sub-edifice region, it would result in measurable annual to decadal gravity increases occurring over spatial scales of tens of kilometres and propose that existing microgravity data from Sakurajima and, possibly, Etna volcanoes could be interpreted in these terms. Furthermore, such repeat microgravity data could be used to determine whether the accumulation rate is in equilibrium with the rate of production of degassed magma as calculated from the surface gas flux and hence identify the build-up of gas-rich magma at depth that may be significant in terms of eruption potential. We also argue that large magma bodies, both molten and frozen, modelled beneath volcanoes from seismic and gravity data, could represent endogenous or cryptic intrusions of degassed magma based on order of magnitude calculations using present-day emission rates and typical volcano lifetimes.  相似文献

Many basaltic volcanoes emit a substantial amount of gas over long periods of time while erupting relatively little degassed lava, implying that gas segregation must have occurred in the magmatic system. The geometry and degree of connectivity of the plumbing system of a volcano control the movement of magma in that system and could therefore provide an important control on gas segregation in basaltic magmas. We investigate gas segregation by means of analogue experiments and analytical modelling in a simple geometry consisting of a vertical conduit connected to a horizontal intrusion. In the experiments, degassing is simulated by electrolysis, producing micrometric bubbles in viscous mixtures of water and golden syrup. The presence of exsolved bubbles induces a buoyancy-driven exchange flow between the conduit and the intrusion that leads to gas segregation. Bubbles segregate from the fluid by rising and accumulating as foam at the top of the intrusion, coupled with the accumulation of denser degassed fluid at the base of the intrusion. Steady-state influx of bubbly fluid from the conduit into the intrusion is balanced by outward flux of lighter foam and denser degassed fluid. The length and time scales of this gas segregation are controlled by the rise of bubbles in the horizontal intrusion. Comparison of the gas segregation time scale with that of the cooling and solidification of the intrusion suggests that gas segregation is more efficient in sills (intrusions in a horizontal plane with typical width:length aspect ratio 1:100) than in horizontally-propagating dykes (intrusions in a vertical plane with typical aspect ratio 1:1000), and that this process could be efficient in intermediate as well as basaltic magmas. Our investigation shows that non-vertical elements of the plumbing systems act as strong gas segregators. Gas segregation has also implications for the generation of gas-rich and gas-poor magmas at persistently active basaltic volcanoes. For low magma supply rates, very efficient gas segregation is expected, which induces episodic degassing activity that erupts relatively gas-poor magmas. For higher magma supply rates, gas segregation is expected to be less effective, which leads to stronger explosions that erupt gas-rich as well as gas-poor magmas. These general physical principles can be applied to Stromboli volcano and are shown to be consistent with independent field data. Gas segregation at Stromboli is thought likely to occur in a shallow reservoir of sill-like geometry at 3.5 km depth with exsolved gas bubbles 0.1–1 mm in diameter. Transition between eruptions of gas-poor, high crystallinity magmas and violent explosions that erupt gas-rich, low crystallinity magmas are calculated to occur at a critical magma supply rate of 0.1–1 m3 s− 1.  相似文献

Iwate volcano, Japan, showed significant volcanic activity including earthquake swarms and volcano inflation from the beginning of 1998. A large earthquake of magnitude 6.1 hit the south-west of the volcano on September 3. Although a 1 km2 fumarole field formed, blighting plants on the ridge in the western part of the volcano in the spring of 1999, no magmatic eruptions occurred. We reconcile the spatio-temporal distributions of volcanic pressure sources determined by previously reported studies in which GPS, strain and tilt data from dense geodetic station networks are analyzed (Miura et al. Earth Planet Space 52:1003–1008, 2000; Sato and Hamaguchi J Volcanol Geotherm Res 155:244–262, 2006). We calculate the magma supply rates from their results and compare them with the occurrence rates of volcanic earthquakes. The results show that the magma supply rates are almost constant or even decrease with time while the earthquake occurrence rate increases with time. This contrast in their temporal changes is interpreted to result from stress accumulation in the volcanic edifice caused by constant magma supply without effusion of magma to the surface. We further show that data showing slight acceleration in strain can be best explained by magma ascent at a constant velocity, and that there is no evidence for increased magma buoyancy resulting from gas bubble growth. This consideration supports the interpretation that the magma stayed at 2 km depth and horizontally migrated. These findings relating magma supply rate and seismicity to magma ascent process are clues to understanding why no magmatic eruption occurred at Iwate volcano in 1998.  相似文献
