在大量前人研究的基础上,通过野外实测,运用沉积相分析方法,结合露头层序地层学、生物地层学、储层成岩作用等方面研究,初步对湖北兴山大峡口二叠系剖面进行了沉积相分析研究,认为该剖面由下至上可划分为两个沉积体系单元,即碳酸盐缓坡沉积体系(相)和碳酸盐台地沉积体系(相)。同时,初步总结出了该剖面的沉积相模式。海平面的升降变化是控制该区沉积相发育和分布的主要因素。  相似文献

通过对珠江口盆地白云凹陷陆坡区10.5Ma以来的地震相分析,共识别出席状平行亚平行地震相、透镜状前积地震相、深切河谷地震相、帚状地震相和杂乱地震相,不同的地震相分别代表不同的沉积体系类型。综合所识别的地震相类型,分析了陆架边缘下切谷、浊积扇和陆架边缘三角洲3种主要的沉积体系及其配置关系。物源供给是影响陆坡区沉积体系发育的最重要因素,是沉积体系发育的物质基础,海平面变化和构造运动为沉积体系发育提供了可容纳空间,3种影响因素共同影响了陆坡区沉积体系的发育。  相似文献

东海西湖凹陷TWT井位于盆地南部,PHA井位于盆地西部斜坡,是目前西湖凹陷揭露平湖组最多的两口钻井,以PHA,TWT井平滑组沉积特征及古生物资料为依据,以海平面升降控相原理为指导,通过旋回地层学分析,建立了A,B,C,D四个等时沉积旋回,而而旋回间两井对比受相应的地震波组控制。通过对比,建立了Dt-Ap的具最大地史跨度的平湖组沉积序列;而Bt,Ct与Bp,Cp之间的沉积旋回对比,揭示了同沉积期空间  相似文献

The well-exposed upper Kimmeridgian carbonate ramp near Arroyo Cerezo, Iberian Basin, Eastern Spain, provides an excellent analog to stratigraphically equivalent subsurface reservoirs, such as the carbonate ramps of the Arab-D of the Middle East and the Smackover of the Gulf of Mexico. Critical questions regarding interwell-scale heterogeneity and correlation motifs for low-angle ramp systems can be addressed using continuous exposures that encompass a full range of inner to outer ramp facies. Outcrops in this area provide a complete exposure of the ramp succession in depositional dip direction.At Arroyo Cerezo, a 40-m thick and 1.3-km long, dip-oriented, continuous outcrop has been studied. Lithofacies and bounding surfaces have been mapped on a continuous photomosaic to build a detailed 2D cross-section, complemented by five stratigraphic sections (∼300 m apart) and petrographic analysis. The reconstructed section shows the facies transition from relative proximal- to distal carbonate ramp settings. Carbonate facies associations are grouped according to the dominant carbonate types: buildup-dominated systems and coated-grain dominated systems. Detailed mapping of facies and bounding surfaces documents distinct ramp depositional units with downdip facies changes occurring within the 1.3 km length of the outcrop. The Arroyo Cerezo outcrop indicates that the ramp-facies continuity, when based on a 5–10 km distance well-log correlation, is mostly apparent. Use of detailed spatial and temporal analysis of high-quality outcrop analogs promotes more realistic models for understanding the interwell, meter-scale heterogeneity. And the scale of these depositional heterogeneities, although being below resolution of subsurface tools, governs in fact (along with diagenetic modifications) the fluid flows within a reservoir. The scale of these stratigraphic heterogeneities needs to be considered in order to optimize and enhance hydrocarbon production and last recovery.  相似文献

Depositional environment can change through geological time. This paper describes a delta that evolved from river-dominated into tide-dominated. The delta is located in the Ya13-1 field of the South China Sea. Understanding the change that occurred in the deltaic setting is important because the change in depositional environments led to changes in spatial distribution of facies and other rock properties.The Oligocene sediments of the third member of the Lingshui Formation in the Ya13-1 field were deposited in a river-dominated delta, and later impacted by marine flooding, fluvial and tidal currents. As a result of these different influences, the early-stage depositional micro-facies and the sandbody distributions are quite different from those of the later stage. At the early stage, fluvial influences prevailed, resulting in a fluvial-dominated delta plain and deposition of many linguoid sand bars in the delta front. During the late stage of deposition, tide-dominated delta fronts were developed extensively and finger sand bars deposited abundantly in the delta front as a result of the tidal influence.Ya13-1 gas field is laterally divided into two large subareas and vertically into eight stratigraphic packages. Because of the different influences of marine flooding that resulted in different interbeds and intercalations, the number of stratigraphic packages in the south is different from that in the north. The change of deltaic depositional environments also resulted in different reservoir properties between the northern and southern regions as the reservoir properties of mouth bars are generally better than distributary channels. Cyclic sequences occur worldwide in nearly every stratigraphic sequence; they are particularly well developed in marine deposits associated with large river systems. Superimposed on those cycles attributed to shifting sites of deposition are those related to high-frequency sea level changes. The large data base for this study (including 471 deep foundation borings, thousands of line kilometers of high-resolution seismic, and sedimentological and dating analyses) represents the most complete information on high-resolution chronostratigraphy and lithostratigraphy that is available on any modern continental shelf/upper slope. These data are used to document sedimentological characteristics and spatial depositional patterns during three complete sea level cycles over the entire continental shelf/upper slope of offshore Louisiana. Sedimentation during periods of high sea level is characterized by: 1) thin, slowly accumulated depositional sequences, referred to as condensed sections, 2) calcareous-rich deposits, including hemipelagic sediments and shell hashes, and 3) wide lateral continuity. Sedimentation during periods of low sea level is characterized by; 1) variable-thickness, rapidly accumulated sequences referred to as expanded sections, 2) coarse-grained elastic deposits, including abundant sands and gravels, and 3) well-defined depositional trends. Even though the data set covers only a short period of geologic time (240 000 yrs), these high frequency events are responsible for the deposition of excellent reservoir-quality facies in well-defined and predictable trends.  相似文献

受径流输沙、风浪、潮汐等影响,河口近岸海域悬浮泥沙具有显著的时空变化。本文基于小时分辨率的GOCI遥感影像,利用最优遥感反演算法,结合空间分析和统计方法,深入研究黄河口及邻近海域悬沙时空动态特征及驱动机制。结果表明,径流输沙对悬沙浓度的影响以河口近岸区为主,高径流输沙对悬沙浓度分布影响可达距岸约20 km,并向孤东近岸方向扩散。大风可引起清水沟老河口区泥沙强烈再悬浮,形成高浓度悬沙区。涨落潮对小时尺度的悬沙浓度影响显著,并影响悬沙的南北扩散。大潮悬沙浓度变化和扩散范围均大于小潮,潮流流速不同是造成该差异的主要原因。水深与悬沙浓度之间存在较明显的负相关关系,根据不同驱动因素的差异,悬沙浓度随着水深的增加呈现出指数型、幂函数型、线性3种关系。  相似文献

利用层序地层学、沉积学原理和方法,对琼东南盆地古近系陵水组进行了层序划分和沉积体系时空配置关系的研究。建立了陵水组的层序地层格架,将其划分为Els3、ElS2和Elsl三个三级层序,其层序和体系域变化主要受控于凹陷内沉降中心的分布位置,沉积主要受控于盆地边缘的断坡带。每个三级层序低位体系域发育局限,海侵与高位体系域发育。沉积体系构成以扇三角洲、三角洲、滨海平原和浅海为主。探讨了沉积体系的演化,总结了其时空配置关系的特点。  相似文献

This paper deals with the sedimentary facies and evolution of the Qiantang River (QR) estuary, and the characteristics and formation of the incised valley sequences and the related shallow biogenic gas reservoir, on the basis of analysis of over 500 cores.The result shows that, since the last glaciation, the Late Quaternary formation of the QR estuary area underwent three stages: (1) deep-cutting stage; (2) rapid-filling stage; and (3) burial stage. The fall of global sea level during the last glacial maximum enhanced the fluvial gradient and river cutting, resulting in the formation of the large-scale QR and Taihu incised valleys, with the interfluve being exposed to air on both flanks of the incised valley. Fluvial terraces at the elevations are present near the present QR estuarine mouth, corresponding to 60–70, 90–100 and 115–125 m burial depths. The valleys were filled rapidly with fluvial sediments during the post-glacial period; with the rise of sea level, the river mouth migrated to landward, and backwater and retrogressive aggradation was enhanced. The QR and Taihu incised valleys are associated with an early filling and transgressive channel-infilling sequence formation, and a late filling and transgressive floodplain-estuary formation. Subsequently, the QR valley was buried under estuarine-marine and estuarine sand bar sediments. From bottom to top, the incised valley successions can be grouped into four sedimentary facies: river channel, floodplain-estuary, estuary-shallow marine, and estuary sand bar.The thickness of the river channel-infilling deposits is controlled mainly by base level rising, backwater, retrogressive aggradation and neotectonism. Further, localized thickening took place where deeper scour pools were present in the incised valley or fluvial terraces were formed during the fall of elative sea level.During the deposition of the floodplain-estuary facies, the conditions of sea level rise, tidal regime, sediment supply and accommodation space were suitable for the development of a tidal ridge system; the sand lenses associated with this facies may represent a tidal ridge system in the incised valley. At the later stage when the estuarine sand bars were formed, the sedimentary conditions were no longer favourable, resulting in absence of sand ridge deposits. Biogenic gas is stored in the floodplain-estuary sand lenses of the incised valleys. The Changjiang River provides the major sediment supply for the QR estuary sand bar, and the QR carried sediments constitute only a small portion of the deposits.  相似文献

The Berriasian-Valanginian Springhill Formation of the Austral Basin of southern South America comprises fluvial to marine deposits. In order to interpret depositional systems and unravel the stratigraphic architecture of this unit in the southern region of the basin (Tierra del Fuego Province, Argentina), 500 m of cores combined with well-log data from 41 wells were studied. Facies associations corresponding to fluvial (A1-A6), estuarine (B1-B5) and open-marine (C1-C4) depositional environments were identified. These facies associations succeed each other vertically across the entire study area (6800 km2) forming a ∼120-m-thick transgressive succession. This unit filled a north-south-oriented valley system, developed in the underlying Jurassic volcanic complex.Lowstand fluvial deposits of the first stage of the valley-system fill occur in downdip segments of the system above a sequence boundary (SB). These fluvial deposits are overlain by coastal-plain and tide-dominated estuarine strata across an initial transgressive surface (ITS). In the northern sector the earliest valley infill is characterized by a transgressive fluvial succession, overlying a merged SB/ITS that is probably time-equivalent of marginal-marine deposits of the southern sector. The fluvial strata in the north are overlain by wave-dominated estuarine deposits. A drastic change to open-marine conditions is marked by a marine flooding surface, with local evidence of marine erosion (FS-RS). Open-marine strata are thin (<10 m) and dominated by lower-shoreface and offshore-transition deposits. They are capped by a younger flooding surface (FS), which represents the onset to offshore conditions across the study area due to a continuous long-term transgression that persisted until the Barremian.Although the interpreted depositional systems and stratigraphic architecture of the Springhill Formation resemble transgressive incised-valley-fill successions, the greater thickness and larger size of the Springhill valleys suggest inherited rift topography rather than valley development during a relative sea-level fall.  相似文献

Using a combined dataset including 3D seismic volumes, 2D profiles and 127 industrial wells, this study systematically investigated sequence stratigraphy and depositional architecture of the Pearl River Delta system (PRDS) during the Middle Miocene. In total, six stratigraphic sequences (SQ1 to SQ6) were recognized for the Hanjiang Formation, each of which could be further subdivided into a transgressive systems tract (TST) and a regressive systems tract (RST) according to a T-R sequence stratigraphic model. Seismic geomorphologic approaches were then conducted to interpret and map the key depositional elements, including fluvial channel systems, river mouth bars, longshore bars, shelf sand ridges and shelf sand sheets. After a detailed construction of the paleogeography for each of the twelves systems tracts, it was found that the types, geometries and depositional regimes of PRDS significantly altered at ca. 13.8 Ma. Before ca. 13.8 Ma, the PRDS were dominated by well-developed fluvial systems and an overall lobate shape, indicating a fluvial-dominated process. However, after 13.8 Ma, the whole PRDS began to form enormous shoreline-parallel depositional elements such as longshore bars, shelf sand ridges and shelf sand sheets, indicating dominant shore-parallel regimes. Besides, the whole deltaic system displayed obvious southwest deflection in map view after 13.8 Ma.Detailed analysis showed that this sudden change in the evolution of the PRDS could be ascribed to an interactive response to several factors. At ca. 13.8 Ma, the sea level began to rapidly rise and caused the fluvial energy to decrease, which was likely to lead to the diversion of the fluvial systems. Besides, the gradual uplift of the Dongsha Rise resulted in the raised shelf topography in the east region, thus confining the fluvial channels to flow southwestward. What's more, a few key paleoceanographic events, including the reglaciation of the Antarctic ice-sheet and the shoaling of the Pacific-Indian Ocean Seaway, might have contributed to the intensification of the southwesterly flowing paleocurrent along the northern South China Sea, thus triggering the delta asymmetry and deflecton of the PRDS after 13.8 Ma.  相似文献

南黄海盆地经历了多年油气勘探,无论是在中生界还是新生界,至今未获得油气突破。新生界储层具有优越的储集条件,故重点分析了古近系阜宁组和三朵—戴南组的沉积特征及其沉积演化特征。以钻井和测井资料为基础,将阜宁组和三朵—戴南组划分为4种沉积相类型,即河流相、扇三角洲相、三角洲相和湖相,其中河流相在研究区可划分为辫状河流相和曲流河流相;并且分析了各沉积相、沉积亚相和沉积微型的岩电性特征。仔细解剖地震反射特征,进行阜宁组和三朵—戴南组地震相分析,以单井相分析为基础,解析各地震相沉积意义。根据瓦尔特定律,将单井沉积相分析与地震相分析充分结合,分析各层段沉积相分布特征。阜宁组主要发育曲流河流相、扇三角洲相、滨浅湖相和半深湖相;三朵—戴南组主要发育辫状河流相、扇三角洲相和滨浅湖相。根据区域构造演化特征,结合沉积相分析,深入分析了研究区古近系阜宁组至三朵—戴南组的沉积演化特征。  相似文献

基于4 530 km高分辨率单道地震数据和钻孔资料,采用高分辨率地震地层学的方法,对台湾海峡晚更新世以来的地层进行了划分,自上而下共识别出R0、R1、R2、R3、R4等5个主要反射界面,分别对应海底、3 ka BP前后高海平面、最大海泛面、海侵面和 Ⅰ 型层序界面,并以此划分出4个地层单元:晚全新世浅海-滨海沉积A,中全新世浅海沉积B,早全新世海侵沉积C,晚更新世陆相河流沉积D。在海平面变化的作用下,海峡地区先后发育低水位沉积D(低位体系域),海侵沉积C (海侵体系域)、高水位沉积B和A(高位体系域)。研究了台湾海峡的典型地震相,提出了关于台中浅滩(云彰隆起)处的楔状沉积体的新观点,认为该楔状体为全新世中期以来形成的三角洲沉积受波浪和潮流作用改造而形成的潮流沙脊,其物质主要来源于台湾。识别出了晚更新世和早全新世古河道沉积,海平面变化和地势高低是其形成时间差异的主要因素。  相似文献

Sediment vibracores and surface samples were collected from the mixed carbonate/siliciclastic inner shelf of west–central Florida in an effort to determine the three-dimensional facies architecture and Holocene geologic development of the coastal barrier-island and adjacent shallow marine environments. The unconsolidated sediment veneer is thin (generally <3 m), with a patchy distribution. Nine facies are identified representing Miocene platform deposits (limestone gravel and blue–green clay facies), Pleistocene restricted marine deposits (lime mud facies), and Holocene back-barrier (organic muddy sand, olive-gray mud, and muddy sand facies) and open marine (well-sorted quartz sand, shelly sand, and black sand facies) deposits. Holocene back-barrier facies are separated from overlying open marine facies by a ravinement surface formed during the late Holocene rise in sea level. Facies associations are naturally divided into four discrete types. The pattern of distribution and ages of facies suggest that barrier islands developed approximately 8200 yr BP and in excess of 20 km seaward of the present coastline in the north, and more recently and nearer to their present position in the south. No barrier-island development prior to approximately 8200 yr BP is indicated. Initiation of barrier-island development is most likely due to a slowing in the Holocene sea-level rise ca. 8000 yr BP, coupled with the intersection of the coast with quartz sand deposits formed during Pleistocene sea-level highstands. This study is an example of a mixed carbonate/siliciclastic shallow marine depositional system that is tightly constrained in both time and sea-level position. It provides a useful analog for the study of other, similar depositional systems in both the modern and ancient rock record.  相似文献

In siliciclastic marine settings, skeletal concentrations are a characteristic feature of transgressive intervals that provide insights into biological and sequence-stratigraphic processes. To investigate taphonomic signatures of transgressive intervals, we analysed three cores along a depositional profile from the high resolution chrono- and stratigraphic framework of the Holocene Po coastal plain, in northern Italy. Coupled multivariate taphonomic and bathymetric trends delineated spatial and temporal gradients in sediment starvation/bypassing, suggesting that quality and resolution of the fossil record vary predictably along the studied depositional profile. Moreover, integration of taphonomic, bathymetric, and fossil density trends across the study area reveals distinctive signatures useful in characterizing facies associations and determining surfaces and intervals of sequence-stratigraphic significance. Within the southern Po plain succession, taphonomic degradation of macroskeletal remains increases from proximal/nearshore to distal/offshore locations. This trend is discernible for both biologically-driven (bioerosion) and physically-driven (e.g., dissolution, abrasion) shell alterations. Compared to the up-dip (most proximal) core, the down-dip core is distinguished by shell-rich lithosomes affected by ecological condensation (co-occurrence of environmentally non-overlapping taxa) and by higher taphonomic alteration. The onshore-offshore taphonomic trend likely reflects variation in sediment-accumulation along the depositional profile of the Holocene Northern Adriatic shelf, with surface/near-surface residence-time of macroskeletal remains increasing down dip due to lower accumulation rates. These results indicate that, during transgressive phases, changes in sea level (base level) are likely to produce down-dip taphonomic gradients across shelves, where the quality and resolution of the fossil record both deteriorate distally. Radiocarbon-calibrated amino acid racemisation dates on individual bivalve specimens and the chronostratigraphic framework for this profile suggest jointly that the high levels of taphonomic degradation observed distally developed over millennial time scales (∼8ky). Whereas in proximal setting overall low taphonomic degradation and geochronologic constrains point to centennial-scale time-averaging during the late transgression phase. Patterns documented in the Holocene transgressive (and lowermost regressive) deposits of the southern Po Plain may be characteristic of siliciclastic-dominated depositional systems that experience high-frequency, base-level fluctuations.  相似文献

We have analyzed 33 Pliocene bulk sediment samples from Ocean Drilling Program Site 1085 in the Cape Basin, located offshore of western Africa in the Angola–Benguela Current system, for 17 major and trace elements, and interpreted their associations and temporal variations in the context of an allied data set of CaCO3, opal, and Corg. We base our interpretations on elemental ratios, accumulation rates, inter-element correlations, and several multi-element statistical techniques. On the basis of qualitative assessment of downhole changes in the distributions of P and Ba, utilized as proxies of export production, we conclude that highs in bulk and biogenic accumulation that occur at 3.2 Ma, 3.0 Ma, 2.4 Ma, and 2.25 Ma were caused by increases in export production as well as terrigenous flux, and record a greater sequestering of organic matter during these time periods. Studies of refractory elements and other indicator proxies (SiO2, Al2O3, TiO2, Fe2O3, MgO, V, Cr, Sr, and Zr) strongly suggest that the terrigenous component of the bulk sediment is composed of two compositional end-members, one being ‘basaltic’ in composition and the other similar to an ‘average shale’. The basaltic end-member comprises approximately 10–15% of the total bulk sediment and its presence is consistent with the local geology of source material in the drainage basin of the nearby Orange River. The increase in bulk accumulation at 2.4 Ma appears to reflect a greater relative increase in basaltic input than the relative increase in shale-type input. Although studies such as this cannot precisely identify the transport mechanisms of the different terrigenous components, these results are most consistent with variations in sea level (and associated changes in shelf geometry and fluvial input) being responsible for the changing depositional conditions along the Angolan Margin during this time period.  相似文献

Facies types and depositional models for thick gravity-flow deposits are inferred from Cretaceous Pyrenean examples occurring in different sedimentary settings: basin-plain during relative low sea level stand; slope-apron or deep valleys during relative sea level rise; and slope during relative sea level rise. The depositional units are interpreted as debrites, debrite-turbidite couplets, and megaturbidites. They are a function of transport distance and hydraulic jump by liquefaction and phase separation in large subaqueous flows.  相似文献

Exposed Late Cretaceous (Albian-Maastrichtian) marine rocks of the Ariyalur area in the Cauvery Basin have been extensively studied based on biostratigraphy and paleobathymetry with paleobathymetric interpretation carried out using vertical and lateral relationships of rock facies, macro- and microfossil assemblages, textural characteristics and diagenetic changes of the lithologic units. The integration of these data reveals four Transgressive-Regressive (T-R) cycles, viz. Dalmiapuram, Garudamangalam, Sillakkudi and Kallankurichchi (in stratigraphic order). These T-R cycles have been compared with global published relative sea level curves of the study area. The major sea level changes during the Late Turonian and Late Maastrichtian in the study area correlate well with global sea level changes of [Vail et?al., 1977] and [Haq et?al., 1987] and Miller et al. (2005). Based on biostratigraphy, stratal patterns and their relationship, the Late Cretaceous succession of the Ariyalur area is thus subdivided into four 2nd/3rd order sequences.  相似文献

利用经验正交函数的方法,将平均海面分解为正交时,空函数积的代数和。采用起主导作用的正交函数进行组合,得到修正的海平面变化值,它消除了某些随机的影响。去掉平均海面主要时间本征函数中的主要周期部分,求得剩余部分的变化率,乘以空间本征函数可得各站平均海面的变化速率,对未来的时间本征函数作出预报,便可得到未来的平均海面预报值。  相似文献
