大震前显示的地震震源机制趋于一致的变化   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
在构造应力场的制约下强震孕育过程中特定阶段, 震源区中小地震震源机制与构造应力场的方向大体一致, 根据这一特点, 定义各个震源机制解的P轴, B轴, T轴和构造应力场的3个应力主轴在3维空间的夹角之和为一致性参数a, 研究强震前应力场变化特征。 对2006年11月15日千岛岛弧MW8.3地震和2001年6月23日秘鲁MW8.4地震研究表明, 大震发生前孕震区一致性参数a比较低, 震源机制与构造应力场的差异较小, 说明这些前震受到了震源区应力场的统一作用, 而主震发生之后震源机制解的一致性参数比较高, 说明后续发生的地震的震源机制散乱, 表明背景应力场的控制作用开始减弱。  相似文献

采用P波初动方法计算1999年以来营口—海城地区5次震群序列的中小地震震源机制解,并定义震源机制一致性参数θ为中小地震震源机制解3个正交的应力主轴与华北地区构造应力场3个应力主轴在三维空间的夹角之和。计算结果显示:营口—海城地区震群中较大地震发生前10天~2个月,θ都有一个持续低值的过程;1999年岫岩前震序列的θ变化幅度在20°~30°之间,且大部分小于65°。相比用震源机制P轴取向趋于一致来判定震源区应力状态,θ更有其优越性。  相似文献

使用小震机制解资料 ,分析了 1975年海城 7 3级和 1976年唐山 7 8级强震及 1983年菏泽 5 9级和 1995年苍山 5 2级中强震前 ,震源区及其周围不同构造部位应力场的时、空变化 ,证实震前震源区附近应力场曾有某些异常改变 ,如唐山强震前震源区周围出现长达 4a多的小震机制解主应力轴一致性取向的现象 ,菏泽地震前小震机制解P轴“集中—转向” ,苍山地震前P轴偏转且一致性增强。同时还发现 ,唐山地震前应力场异常变化开始时间可能早于 1972年 ;震源区内的陡河台与源外区的昌黎台小震综合机制解反映出震前的受力差异 ;震源断层附近不同应力区内震源机制解和地震活动有时空动态差异。这些现象一定程度上提供了不同构造条件和应力背景下 ,中、强震前震源区不同构造部位力学状态的改变或地震孕育过程的信息 ,对研究不同地震的孕震过程及差异有一定意义。  相似文献

Based on analysis of background of geological tectonic movement and strong earthquake activity, we first obtained the focal mechanism solutions using amplitude ratio and CAP method, then determined the characteristic of average stress field of the study area by inversion of the stress field. On this basis, we selected the source mechanism consistency parameter as the inspection index to obtain the latest changes of stress field in Hetao seismic zone based on its temporal and spatial analysis. Two methods were used in the stress field inversion for comparison and analysis, which are average stress axis tensor and LSIB(Linear stress inversion bootstrap, LSIB). According to the geological tectonic movement and focal mechanism solutions of MS≥4.0 earthquakes from 1970, we judge that the stress field evolution process of Hetao seismic belt is controlled jointly by vertical difference movement and horizontal shear movement, resulting in that the normal fault and strike-slip fault mechanisms are dominating.Taking into account the station layout of the study area, and in order to ensure the accuracy of calculation, we calculated 224 earthquakes focal mechanism solutions by using amplitude ratio and CAP method, including 164 earthquakes with 2.8≤ML<3.5, 42 earthquakes with 3.5≤ML<4.0, and 18 earthquakes with ML≥4.0; The statistical results on type of focal mechanisms show that, there are 142 strike-slip earthquakes(63.4%), 50 normal fault earthquakes(22.3%)and 32 thrust fault earthquakes(14.3%). In this study period(from 2001 to 2012), most earthquakes had a strike-slip mechanism in Hetao seismic belt, this is one of the inherent characteristics of the stress field.The result of average stress axis tensor and LSIB shows that, the azimuth of maximum compressional stress is 47°~52°, direction is NE-SW; The azimuth of minimum compressional stress is 313°~322°, direction is NW-SE; This indicates that, the stress field characteristics of Hetao seismic belt and its sub-block are not completely consistent. Linhe Basin exhibits coordinated stress field characteristics with Hetao seismic belt, but Hubao Basin exhibits regional differences, direction of compressive stress has clockwise deflection in Baotou area, and the compressive stress direction is NEE. This heteropical character of stress field is also confirmed by horizontal projection distribution of stress axis of historical strong earthquakes and recent moderate and small earthquakes. Since 2003, the temporal sequence curve of consistency parameter of Hetao seismic belt had a downward trend, this change was caused by focal mechanism consistency parameter of Linhe to Wuhai area, which indicates that this structural position is possible to be a priority area for stress accumulation and accelerated release in future.  相似文献

通过对2003年1月1日—2013年4月1日芦山地震前震源区中小地震震源机制解的分析,发现不同阶段的震源机制解在一定程度上反映了强震孕育过程中构造应力场随时间的变化。震源区中小地震的P轴方位角C_V值在芦山M7.0地震发生前有一个上升-下降-上升的过程,只是相比于汶川8.0级地震前C_V值的下降-上升过程经历了更长的时间,这表明四川芦山M7.0地震的孕育经历了长时间的应力积累,与许多研究结果相一致。2007年1月1日—2014年4月1日C_V值空间分布的非均匀性特征在龙门山断裂带南段有显著的增强与减弱过程,对于发震地点可能有一定的指示意义。  相似文献

We calculated the Coulomb failure stress change generated by the 1976 Tangshan earthquake that is projected onto the fault planes and slip directions of large subsequent aftershocks.Results of previous studies on the seismic fail-ure distribution,crustal velocity and viscosity structures of the Tangshan earthquake are used as model constraints.Effects of the local pore fluid pressure and impact of soft medium near the fault are also considered.Our result shows that the subsequent Luanxian and Ninghe earthquakes occurred in the regions with a positive Coulomb fail-ure stress produced by the Tangshan earthquake.To study the triggering effect of the Tangshan,Luanxian,and Ninghe earthquakes on the follow-up small earthquakes,we first evaluate the possible focal mechanisms of small earthquakes according to the regional stress field and co-seismic slip distributions derived from previous studies,assuming the amplitude of regional tectonic stress as 10 MPa.By projecting the stress changes generated by the above three earthquakes onto the possible fault planes and slip directions of small earthquakes,we find that the "butterfly" distribution pattern of increased Coulomb failure stress is consistent with the spatial distribution of follow-up earthquakes,and 95% of the aftershocks occurred in regions where Coulomb failure stresses increase,indicating that the former large earthquakes modulated occurrences of follow-up earthquakes in the Tangshan earthquake sequence.This result has some significance in rapid assessment of aftershock hazard after a large earthquake.If detailed failure distribution,seismogenic fault in the focal area and their slip features can be rapidly determined after a large earthquake,our algorithm can be used to predict the locations of large aftershocks.  相似文献

根据张北地震序列的地震活动特征,利用张北震区1998年1月~1999年3月间145个3 级左右地震的震源机制解资料,应用Gephart(1990)的应力张量反演方法,研究张北地震序列构造应力张量的总体变化特征和时序变化特征;研究发现强余震发生前,应力张量的波动幅度不是很大,震源及附近地区的构造应力作用较强,强余震发生后,应力因发生破裂而重新分布。而且震源区的构造应力场方向与华北地区的构造应力场方向基本一致,说明张北主震和强余震都是在华北统一构造应力场的作用下发生的。  相似文献

利用甘肃省测震台网观测到的主震波形记录的初动符号求解了2013年7月22 日岷县Ms6.6地震主震的震源机制,并与哈佛及usgs发布的震源机制进行了对比,对这一地区过去发生过的若干次Mb4.5以上的地震也利用初动符号求解了震源机制,发现与Ms6.6地震的震源机制形态较为相似.进而利用2010年至2011年甘东南宽频带流动台阵的大量近震资料,对在震中距50 km范围内,并且接近岷县Ms6.6地震发震断裂临潭-宕昌断裂的中小地震进行了检索,对检索到的地震进行初动识别后得到初动数目大于10个、并且对震源包络良好的中小地震31个,利用小震的震源机制解求解了该区域的区域应力场.结果表明这一区域的主压力方向为NEE方向.  相似文献

由于首都圈地区近年来布设了较为密集的地震台网, 使得较小地震震源机制的求解成为可能。 本文收集了首都圈地区近50年来大震震源机制以及2002—2004年中小震震源机制解, 采用对不同震级地震进行加权处理的网格搜索法将强震与小震结合对首都圈地区的现今地壳应力场进行反演。 得到了较为精确的首都圈地区各区域的构造应力场。 结果表明: 北京张家口区, 主压应力轴N(43°~86°)E向; 唐山及邻区,主压应力轴N(38°~86°)E向; 邢台区, 主压应力轴N(79°~81°)E向; 本文反演结果与前人结果相似, 表明了研究方法的正确性, 并揭示了现今首都圈地区应力场的整体一致性和分区差异, 对解释首都圈地区的发震背景和地球动力学研究有一定的参考意义。  相似文献

用P波和S波最大振幅比方法测定了1980年9月22日小金Ms6.6级地震前后的117个小震的震源机制。根据小金地震序列中3次最大地震和117个小震震源机制解,了震源区应力场的基本特征的变化形态。对小震机制解进行系统聚类分析,小震机制解的优势取向和3次最大地震的震源机制一致。由小震机制主要类型的平均解和3次最大地震的震源机制反演得到的应力场方向与区域应力场相符。和主震相近的优势走滑类型及逆倾滑动类型  相似文献

作为强震长期预测基础的地震带、潜在震源区的划分,仍然依据地震构造类比和地震活动重复两原则。现有的强震长期预测方法在构造“稳定”区,即没有活动构造、没有历史地震(包括古地震)资料的条件下,无能为力。通过张北地震资料的分析,高精度地震定位并结合波形数据反演震源机制的结果表明:在稳定而统一的构造应力场的作用下,沿其最大剪切应力方向上的小地震集中成带,并且持续活动、震源机制的优势取向与应力场吻合,小震带便可以看作属于现今活动的震源断层,在地震长期预测工作中可以作为划分潜在震源区的依据。构造“稳定”区发生的强震属于新破裂。  相似文献

Orientations of the principal axes of the tectonic stress field reconstructed from seismological data on focal mechanisms of earthquakes and strain fields determined from GPS measurements in China are compared. The data of GPS measurements used in the paper were obtained by the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China (about 1000 stations) in the period of 1998–2004. On the basis of information on the recent horizontal crustal motions, the strain field is calculated for the study territory by the finite element method. Calculations of the strain tensor using GPS data were carried out with a step of 1° in latitude and longitude. A catalog of earthquake focal mechanisms was used for the reconstruction of tectonic stress field components. Focal mechanisms of earthquakes were calculated with the use of seismological data on signs of first arrivals from the bulletin of the International Seismological Center. To estimate characteristics of the regional stress field, an approach based on the kinematic method proposed by O.I. Gushchenko was applied. The tectonic stress field was reconstructed in depth intervals of 0 < H < 35 km and 35 km < H < 70 km from data on focal mechanisms of earthquakes over the periods of 1998–2004 and 1985–2004. Comparison of directions of the principal strain axes at the surface (according to GPS measurements) and directions of the principal stress axes (reconstructed from focal mechanisms of earthquakes) showed their good convergence. Seismotectonic strains and GPS measurements coincide within a larger part of the territory. The coincidence is best in a depth interval of 0 < H < 35 km. Maximum misfit values are confined to areas of high 3-D gradients of strain axis directions and are possibly related to the structural heterogeneity of the region, zones with strains of the same type along both horizontal axes (compression or extension along all directions), or areas of small absolute values of recent horizontal movements. Areas with invariable directions of the stress axes are recognizable regardless of the depth of initial data. Good reproducibility of results obtained by two different methods made it possible to check the method of stress field reconstruction using data on focal mechanisms of earthquakes.  相似文献

本文提出用四维空间的欧氏距离DFM来表示不同地震震源机制之间的一致性,并以1975年辽宁海城ML7.3地震序列和1999年辽宁岫岩MS5.4地震序列为例分析了主震与前震和余震的震源机制一致性与DFM值之间的关系,其结果显示,当欧氏距离DFM<50时,两次地震的震源机制接近。为了对若干次地震组成的一组地震的震源机制一致性进行判定,引入了显著性检验方法。根据陈颙提出的震源机制一致性参数K,以符号检验法和统计检验量Z值检验法对岫岩MS5.4地震前小震的震源机制一致性进行了分析,其结果表明,在临近岫岩MS5.4地震前所发生地震的震源机制的一致性显著,置信度可达98%。   相似文献

This study presents the results of stress field reconstruction for the epicentral zones of large-magnitude earthquakes in some folded-mountain regions of western Tien Shan. Field studies, including geostructural and tectonophysical interpretations, performed for the Talas-Suusamyr, Chatkal-Kurama, Turkestan-Zarafshan, Gissar and Nurata-Kyzylkum regions allow the reconstruction of some regional components of the tectonic stress field. The nearly E-W orientations of the lower-order compressional axes are identified in the Chatkal-Kurama and Turkestan-Zarafshan mountain areas. Detailed structural-dynamical diagrams of several epicentral zones and reconstructions of focal mechanisms of some strong earthquakes are derived from the geostructural data. The coincidence of the present-day stress field manifested in the earthquake sources and the recent stress field derived from the geostructural determinations is revealed. The focal mechanisms of the strong earthquakes in the folded-mountain regions of western Tien Shan relate to the thrust/strike-slip faulting and breakup of large tectonic blocks.  相似文献

利用双差定位方法对2018年松原MS5.7地震序列中ML≥1.0地震重新定位,之后使用CAP方法求解松原MS5.7地震序列中强地震的震源机制解,再借助MSATSI软件包反演得到松原地区的区域应力场。综合分析以上研究结果得到如下结论:① 松原MS5.7地震序列发生在NW走向的第二松花江断裂与NE走向的扶余—肇东断裂交会处,将地震精定位结果沿两条断层走向作剖面分析,NW向剖面主轴长度约为5 km,震中分布均匀,NE向剖面主轴长度亦约为5 km,震中呈倾向NE的高倾角分布;② 该序列中的4次ML≥3.7地震的震源机制解具有良好的一致性:节面Ⅰ走向为NE向,节面Ⅱ走向为NW向,均为高倾角走滑断层。中强地震的震源机制节面解与第二松花江断裂性质基本一致,由此推断第二松花江断裂是本次松原地震的发震断层;③ 松原地区的主压应力方位角为N86°E,倾角为7°,主张应力方位角为N24°E,倾角为71°。松原地区的区域应力场既受到大尺度的板块构造运动的控制,又受到区域构造运动的影响。在太平洋板块对北东亚板块向西俯冲作用下,东北地区产生了近EW向的主压应力,受周边地质构造控制,松辽盆地内NE向断裂与NW向断裂交会处易发生走滑型地震,2018年松原MS5.7地震正是在这种构造作用控制下发生的中强地震。   相似文献

利用小震震源机制解、地震视应力、GPS测量结果等资料,对汶川地震前后太原盆地应力场变化特征进行了研究。结果表明,汶川地震对太原盆地构造应力场的影响较为显著,不仅改变了应力场的方向,也改变了应力值的大小;应力场特征由震前NNE-SSW向拉张应力的局部小区域应力场为主,转为震后NEE-SWW向挤压应力为主且接近华北地区应力场。该变化态势有利于局部应变能积累,因而可能是太原盆地中小地震活跃的诱发因素。  相似文献

基于1999—2007年山西断陷带GPS站点位移速率,采用格林函数法计算了山西断陷带地壳10 km深处的最大主应力和最大剪应力变化,并与区域地质构造、中强地震活动及其震源机制解等对比分析,结果表明:山西断陷带中强地震活动受区域构造应力场的控制,现今应力场变化强烈的区域,地震活动水平相对较高,地震震源机制与构造应力场变化特征一致性较强;构造应力场变化和中强地震活动还受构造相关区强震活动的影响,2009年以来忻定盆地原平段至石岭关隆起区中强地震活跃可能与汶川8.0级地震影响有关;山西南部尤其是运城盆地具有较高的背景应力水平,应进一步关注该区域的地震危险性。  相似文献

本研究利用CAP方法反演得到了2013—2017年辽宁地区19个3.5级以上地震的震源机制解.结果显示辽宁地区地震的震源机制以走滑类型为主,P轴和T轴方位分别集中在北东东和北北西方向,分别与区域构造应力场主压和主张应力方向一致.矩心深度结果反映辽宁地区在地壳内各个深度的位置都可能孕震,而以地壳中部最为活跃.灯塔地区地壳极浅部曾发生中等强度的地震,在地震减灾工作中需要引起注意.而盖州地区地壳底部仍有少量地震,显示其附近岩石仍具有脆性特性,且该处邻近一级块体边界,贯穿地壳的断层导致下地壳也有地震发生.震源机制结果显示区域构造应力场对辽宁地区大部分地震的发生有着主导作用,在局部地区复杂的断层构造也会对震源机制产生较大影响.  相似文献
