Summary The Interkosmos5 VLF experiment consisted of a spectrum analyser with twelve narrow-band channels and broadband measurements between0.07 and20 kHz using an analogue telemetry with a tape recorder on board. The apparatus used in the experiment is shortly described, some examples ofVLF phenomena observed are given and a review of all analogue data recorded is shown in a graphical calendar.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to investigate the feasibility of deriving the traditionalK index from magnetograms plotted from recorded digital data. Digital magnetic data from Ottawa Observatory are available for theX, Y, andZ components in the form of 1 min averaged values and spot values at selected sampling intervals of 1 sec or greater. It is found that the lowerK values tend to be biased downward by one level when a digitizing interval greater than 30 sec is used for construction of the artificial magnetograms. However, for digitizing intervals of 30 sec or less the reconstructed analogue plots are just as reliable as standard-run Ruska magnetograms for the derivation ofK.Contribution from the Earth Physics Branch No. 1132.  相似文献

A digital recording system has been operated at the U.K. observatories since 1979. The magnetic elementsH, D, andZ are monitored continuously by a triaxial fluxgate magnetometer operating in the variometer mode. Ordinate values are recorded at 30-sec intervals. Total field and the temperature of the variometer chamber are measured at the start of each 10-min data block.Fluxgate magnetometer baseline values are derived from absolute measurements made by proton vector magnetometer and Kew declinometer in the conventional manner.In this paper the data handling procedures are described and the quality of the data over a period of two years is discussed.  相似文献

A magnetotelluric digital equipment has been designed and built for operation in geophysical and applied geophysical research. The five components of the natural electromagnetic field can be digitized in the frequency range 1/1000 Hz (magnetic sensor's response limits) to some tens Hz. The magnetotelluric (MT) data are directly digitized in the field and stored in a cassette tape recorder.  相似文献

A laboratory instrument was developed to investigate the electrical properties of rock samples with respect to changes of frequency, temperature and pressure. The instrument can be used to obtain general trends and typical values for geological media. It should be of particular interest in geothermal studies and research in the geophysical properties of rocks. The design intervals for quantities under investigation were 20–300°C, 105-4 × 107 Pa and 5 × 10?4-103 Hz. Certain limitations exist on the simultaneous use of the highest values of temperature and pressure. The main features of the instrument are: analog electrical outputs recorded by an x-y recorder or observed on a scope with an attached camera (according to the frequency range); pressures produced by an oil hydraulic system in order to ensure electrical insulation of the sample; temperatures obtained by placing the pressure vessel into a thermostatically controlled room. Thus the monitoring instrumentation is directly accessible during the experiment. Information is also given about calibration procedures and examples of rock sample data are given.  相似文献

作为地震探测的有效补充,电磁法在海洋油气资源勘探中发挥着越来越重要的作用.本文针对海洋电磁法中极低时钟误差、大动态范围采集等要求,提出使用GPS和高精度原子钟解决低时钟漂移问题;采集电路中设计增益可调的放大电路,MCU通过对采集到的信号进行实时分析,实现增益动态调整,解决海洋电磁信号大动态范围采集问题;研制的海洋电磁信号数据记录单元每天时间误差小于0.3 ms、电场通道动态范围可以达到160 dB、磁场通道动态范围可以达到134 dB.通过在室内指标测试、室外试验,表明设计的数据记录单元能够稳定可靠工作.为证明数据纪录单元的有效性,将数据记录单元和国外商用MT仪器进行野外一致性对比实验,数据记录单元与商用仪器结果基本一致;在水深100 m海域进行了海底MT信号采集,得到了有效的结果.该研究为海洋电磁信号低时钟漂移、大动态范围采集提供了一种有效解决方案.  相似文献

在进行地震数据采集器的幅频特性测试中,当标定信号频率稍高时(约为采集器采样率1/5以上),采集器输出的正弦波形发生畸变,无法人工读取正弦波峰值.为了解决该问题,本文提出了基于离散傅里叶变换(DFT)的积分恢复算法,将该方法与快速傅里叶变化(FFT)谱分析方法同时应用于一台高精度地震数据采集器的幅频特性测试数据处理.结果表明这两种算法均能标准化、高精度地完成采集器幅频特性标定数据的计算.其中基于DFT的积分恢复算法的计算程序操作简单,能够高效率地完成数据采集器的幅频特性检定工作;并且该方法还可以应用于地震数据采集器的线性度测试.   相似文献

DZSS-1型深层数字地震仪由三分量检波器CDJ-6B、数据采集单元、磁带机、编码钟和回放装置组成。它采用循环浮点放大-A/D转换技术、低噪音运算放大器、CMOS器件,使仪器噪音小于0.3μV(折合到前级放大器输入端,均值),动态范围大于96dB,采用调相制、串码、单轨盒式数字磁带记录。仪器频带范围1-30Hz,浮点72dB。有钟差显示(±1ms)、噪音和误操作显示。仪器主要技术指标(道间一致性、漂移、噪音、串音、误码率、主放台阶精度)可用微机进行检测,能满足地震测深和其它低频数字测量之用。  相似文献

The Wind Erosion Prediction System (WEPS) and Revised Wind Erosion Equation (RWEQ) are widely used for estimating wind‐induced soil erosion at a field scale. Wind is the principal erosion driver in the two models. Wind erosivity, which describes the capacity of wind to cause soil erosion, is defined as erosive wind power density (WPD) in WEPS, and wind value (W) in RWEQ. In this study, the daily average WPD (AWPD) and the daily average W (Wf) were chosen to investigate the effect of averaging time on wind erosivity estimation based on observed wind data. We compare the daily AWPD and Wf calculated from 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 minute average wind speed data. The results of comparisons indicate that averaging wind speed can significantly influence estimates of wind erosivity. Compared with the daily AWPD and Wf calculated from one minute average wind speed data, all daily AWPD and Wf values calculated from 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 minute averaged wind speeds tend to be significantly lower than values calculated from one minute values. In general, longer averaging times tend to produce smaller values of daily AWPD or Wf, which may lead to an under‐estimation of wind erosion. Further studies are needed to extend and apply the findings obtained in this study to actual wind erosion predictions. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

An experiment was carried out to develop a technique to measure shear wave velocity simultaneously with the standard penetration test popular in soil engineering. In the standard penetration test an impact at the bottom of a borehole is produced by weight dropping and may be expected to generate seismic waves. A three-component geophone was set on the ground surface near the borehole and the waves generated were recorded with a magnetic recorder at successive depths of the penetration test. The predominance of the SV wave obtained with this simple method was assured by measurement of the particle orbit. Signal amplitudes decrease with depth and become less than the noise level at a certain depth. Therefore records from deeper sources must be processed to disclose the shear waves. Since waveforms of SV events generated by blows of the penetration test at a given depth are very similar, the signal to noise ratio would be expected to be improved by a stack of wave trains. A paste-up of the radial component after stacking was compared with that before stacking and a refinement was clearly recognized. A vertical distribution of shear wave velocity was obtained by reading the onset time at each depth. Shear wave velocities thus obtained were compared with N values from the standard penetration test and specific resistivities from electrical logging in the same borehole. The data were mutually consistent. This experiment showed that a convenient, precise shear wave velocity measurement can be conducted during the routine work of a standard penetration test.  相似文献

Magnetic susceptibility measurements on topsoils have often been used during the last few years to detect anthropogenic pollution. In most cases, a Bartington susceptibility meter for field measurements was used. However, up to now, no standard procedure has been developed for carrying out such investigations. The purpose of our study was to test the compatibility of different set-ups of instruments used for this purpose and the possible influences of subjective (human) factors. Field magnetic susceptibility measurements, carried out with four different Bartington MS2D instruments in strictly defined positions, are very consistent both for low and high values. The correlation coefficient between the magnetic susceptibility values recorded with different Bartington MS2D probes reached 97–98%. A test area was mapped independently by two groups, without any restrictions concerning the choice and distribution of the measured points, but respecting a few standard conditions (e.g., measuring at a distance from tree trunks; on the flattest place possible; recording between 10–30 values per point). The resulting susceptibility maps show the same general features in both cases, suggesting that the measuring strategy applied is suitable for topsoil magnetic screening. The methodology proposed can be used to map magnetic susceptibility on a larger scale—for example Europe—providing large sets of representative data and eliminating border-transition biases and human errors.  相似文献

Broadband (100–4000 Hz) cross‐hole seismic data have been acquired at a borehole test site where extensive hydrological investigations have previously been performed, including in situ estimates of permeability. The rock type is homogeneous chalk and fractures and bedding planes have been identified from well logs. High values of seismic attenuation, Q= 22 ≤ 27 ≤ 33, were observed over a 10 m depth interval where fracture permeability values of 20–50 darcy had been recorded. An attempt has been made to separate the attenuation due to scattering and intrinsic mechanisms. The estimated values of intrinsic attenuation, Q= 31 ≤ 43 ≤ 71, have been reproduced using a number of current theories of seismic‐wave propagation and fluid‐flow‐induced seismic attenuation in cracked and fractured media. A model that considers wavelength‐scale pressure gradients is the preferred attenuation mechanism. Model parameters were obtained from the hydro‐geological and seismic data. However, we conclude that it is not possible to use seismic Q to measure rock permeability remotely, principally because of the inherent uncertainties arising from model parameterisations.  相似文献

The geomagnetic daily variations of vertical component, which were recorded by geomagnetic array in Jiangsu Province, are investigated with the method of multichannel Wiener filtering. The results show that the daily standard errors between raw data and the actual output of the filter for the nearest stations away from epicenter are obviously higher than ordinary level before the Huanghai earthquake, especially three days before, then returned to normal after the earthquake. The Chinese version of this paper appeared in the Chinese edition ofActa Seismologica Sinica,13, 76–79, 1991. 分析距离九寨沟MS7.0地震震中分别为65 km、254 km和238 km的松潘地磁台、成都地磁台和天水地磁台2017年连续观测结果,发现九寨沟地震前,松潘地磁台出现异常变化,主要表现为2017年5月开始,松潘地磁台长时间垂直分量累积变化量达40 nT。短时间内也存在地磁场突变,最高可达10 nT,而成都地磁台和天水地磁台地磁场无明显异常。通过对观测数据的详细检查发现松潘地磁台很多观测日的最后一个观测值与后一观测日的第一个观测值相差超过1 nT,因此认为九寨沟地震前观测数据的异常是由观测系统异常导致。对三个台站地磁场垂直分量日变化的统计分析发现垂直分量在不同时段相关性保持一致,说明地震前短时间内不存在地磁垂直分量的明显异常变化,三个台站地磁场日变化的差异是由地下介质性质不同导致。岩石圈磁场在震中西侧区域出现正负异常交替现象,这可能与九寨沟地震的孕育有关。  相似文献

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) logging provides a new means of estimating the hydraulic conductivity (K) of unconsolidated aquifers. The estimation of K from the measured NMR parameters can be performed using the Schlumberger‐Doll Research (SDR) equation, which is based on the Kozeny–Carman equation and initially developed for obtaining permeability from NMR logging in petroleum reservoirs. The SDR equation includes empirically determined constants. Decades of research for petroleum applications have resulted in standard values for these constants that can provide accurate estimates of permeability in consolidated formations. The question we asked: Can standard values for the constants be defined for hydrogeologic applications that would yield accurate estimates of K in unconsolidated aquifers? Working at 10 locations at three field sites in Kansas and Washington, USA, we acquired NMR and K data using direct‐push methods over a 10‐ to 20‐m depth interval in the shallow subsurface. Analysis of pairs of NMR and K data revealed that we could dramatically improve K estimates by replacing the standard petroleum constants with new constants, optimal for estimating K in the unconsolidated materials at the field sites. Most significant was the finding that there was little change in the SDR constants between sites. This suggests that we can define a new set of constants that can be used to obtain high resolution, cost‐effective estimates of K from NMR logging in unconsolidated aquifers. This significant result has the potential to change dramatically the approach to determining K for hydrogeologic applications.  相似文献

为了进行西藏高原地区的爆炸地震研究,研制了一套模拟磁带记录系统。每台仪器包括三个两周的拾震器(LS-1型)、三个相应的低噪声线性放大器(DDF-5型)、三个调制器、一台低频磁带记录器(DCJ-1型)、石英钟、对时器和收音机。仪器频率范围是2周-20周(对速度),时间误差小于0.1秒。采用抖动补偿和频率滤波的办法,使系统的信噪比提高到50分贝。系统的幅度误差小于10%。经过野外实地观测和资料整理分析,证明其性能和指标能够满足地壳与上地幔爆炸地震研究的需要。通过模/数转换器,把模拟磁带转录成数字磁带,可以在电子计算机上进行各种数字处理。  相似文献
