In terms of the nonlinear characteristics of hydraulic propulsion system used in 3500 m rated work-class ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle), the paper improved the responsiveness of the hydraulic propulsion system by adding an impulse signal to the input end of the system. Because the maximum static damping moment provided from water is much larger than the dynamic damping moment, it results in large dead zone of thrust during the startup process of the hydraulic propulsion system. The dead zone of thrust caused by static damping moment can be effectively reduced by adding a specific impulse signal to the input end of the propulsion system. The results of numerical simulations and underwater experiments show that using this method, the nonlinear characteristics of the hydraulic propulsion system have been significantly improved.  相似文献

Even though hydraulic collars are largely used to install flexible risers, neither the loads imposed by this equipment nor the response of the risers to these loads have been previously studied. Hence, this paper presents a three-dimensional nonlinear finite element (FE) model to predict the response of flexible risers to loads imposed by hydraulic collars and also provides a set of equations to predict these loads. The FE model relies on an analogy between helical tendons and orthotropic shells to simulate the inner carcass and the pressure armour of flexible risers. Shell elements are used to represent the polymeric layers and three-dimensional beam elements simulate the wires of the tensile armours. Material, geometric and contact nonlinearities are addressed. Contact interactions between the layers of the riser are handled by surface to surface contact elements with a contact detection algorithm based on the pinball technique and contact forces evaluated with the augmented Lagrangian method. A 9.5″ flexible riser is analyzed and the numerical results are compared to those from the experimental tests. The agreement between all results indicates that the proposed FE model is an efficient approach to predict the response of flexible risers to loads imposed by hydraulic collars and, moreover, may be used to analyze the response of such structures to other types of loads.  相似文献

The waterline detection method (WDM) based on satellite images is one of the most effective methods for constructing digital elevation models (DEMs) for tidal flats. The general practicability of the WDM has been demonstrated in previous studies for small areas. This article attempts to generate a DEM over a large offshore sandbank with a tidal flat area of more than 620 km2 by integrating the conventional WDM with a hydraulic model and multitemporal satellite images. For illustration purposes, a case study was conducted at the Dongsha sandbank, one of the largest sandbanks among the radial tidal sand ridges of Jiangsu Province, China. In this study, 34 multitemporal satellite images acquired at different tidal phases in 2006 were analyzed to detect the waterlines. The water level at each satellite overpass moment was simulated by a south Yellow Sea hydraulic model, and discrete waterline points were combined with the corresponding water levels to produce a topographic map. Compared with the DEM produced during the same period by the airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data, the DEM derived from WDM effectively contains the average height error within 47 cm, which is satisfactory. All of these findings may be useful for researchers and local authorities, as the findings could be used as a reference for sandbank evolution research or to support environmental management, coast protection, and storm forecasting.  相似文献

When hydraulic power take off (PTO) is used to convert the mechanical energy of a wave energy converter (WEC) into a more useful form of energy, the PTO force needs to be controlled. Continuous controlled variation of the PTO force can be approximated by a set of discrete values. This can be implemented using either variable displacement pumps or several hydraulic cylinders or several high pressure accumulators with different pressure levels. This pseudo-continuous control could lead to a complex PTO with a lot of components. A simpler way for controlling this hydraulic PTO is declutching control, which consists in switching on and off alternatively the wave energy converter's PTO. This can be achieved practically using a simple by-pass valve. In this paper, the control law of the valve is determined by using the optimal command theory. It is shown that, theoretically when considering a wave activated body type of WEC, declutching control can lead to energy absorption performance at least equivalent to that of pseudo-continuous control. The method is then applied to the case of the SEAREV wave energy converter, and it is shown than declutching control can even lead to a higher energy absorption, both in regular and irregular waves.  相似文献

A pressure relief technique has been proposed to reduce hydrostatic pressures by opening drainage holes around a water tank. This solution is evaluated by laboratory experiments and numerical parametric investigation. After seepage flow is allowed, the hydraulic head acting on the water tank is reduced due to seepage losses. The drainage holes should be opened on the base slab near the sidewalls, and at a certain height on the sidewalls. Given a fixed total opening area, the number of drainage holes with smaller diameter should be allowed near the edge of the water tank to increase the efficacy of the approach. The properties of the surrounding soil influence the results significantly, where a cushion layer with a higher hydraulic conductivity and a greater thickness is beneficial to the stability of the water tank, and a backfill layer with adequate thickness and hydraulic conductivity should be selected. An illustrative example is given in the end to demonstrate the advantage of the proposed antiflotation design strategy compared to the conventional enhanced self-weight method, and more economic design using less reinforcement and concrete can be achieved.  相似文献

为了改善潮流能水轮机叶片表面流动分离问题,提高其升阻比,本文通过在潮流能水轮机叶片表面加装涡流发生器,来研究涡流发生器对潮流能水轮机水动力学性能的影响。本文以NACA4418翼型为研究对象,分别建立了含VGs和不含VGs的三维模型,利用CFD方法研究了VGs的高度、长度以及相邻一对VGs之间的间距等多个方面对该翼型性能的影响。结果表明:VGs可以有效地提高翼型的最大升力系数;相邻VGs间距的增加对流动分离的抑制有积极影响。此外,通过对尾迹区流线和旋涡的分析,进一步揭示了尾迹区的流场特征。  相似文献

介绍了Edge Tech 4100-P型侧扫声纳系统的技术指标和工作原理。根据水下潜堤护底工程软体排的铺排特点,侧扫声纳系统可以高效地探测出海底面以上相邻的软体排结构物的拼接和叠加情况,同时还可以根据侧扫声纳图像判断软体排有无破损及破损后填充物流失情况,评估水下潜堤护底工程的安全系数。通过实例说明了侧扫声纳在软体排检测的外业工作流程,以及内业图像识别与分析,探讨侧扫声纳系统在水下水工结构物探测的应用前景。  相似文献

Raft-type wave energy converter (WEC) is a multi-mode wave energy conversion device, using the relative pitch motion to drive its hydraulic power take-off (PTO) units for capturing energy from the ocean waves. The hydraulic PTO unit as its energy conversion module plays a significant role in storing large qualities of energy and making the output power smooth. However, most of the previous investigations on the raft-type WECs treat the hydraulic PTO unit as a linear PTO unit and do not consider the dynamics of the hydraulic circuit and components in their investigations. This paper is related to a two-raft-type WEC consisting of two hinged rafts and a hydraulic PTO unit. The aim of this paper is to make an understanding of the dynamics of the hydraulic PTO unit and how these affect the performance of the two-raft-type WEC. Therefore, a combined hydrodynamic and hydraulic PTO unit model is proposed to investigate and optimize the performance of the two-raft-type WEC; and based on the simulation of the combined model, the relationships between the optimal power capture ability, the optimal magnitude of the hydraulic PTO force and the wave states are numerically revealed. Results show that an approximately square wave type hydraulic PTO force is produced by the hydraulic PTO unit, which causes the performance of the two-raft-type WEC not to be sinusoidal and the energy capturing manner different from that of the device using a linear PTO unit; moreover, there is an optimal magnitude of the hydraulic PTO force for obtaining an optimal power capture ability, which can be achieved by adjusting the parameters of the hydraulic PTO unit; in regular waves, the optimal power capture ability as well as the optimal magnitude of the hydraulic PTO force normalized by the wave height presents little relationship with the wave height, mainly depends on the wave period; in irregular waves, the trends of the optimal power capture ability and the normalized optimal magnitude of the hydraulic PTO force against the peak wave periods at different significant wave heights are generally identical and show a good correlation. All means that the hydraulic PTO unit of the two-raft-type WEC can be tuned to the wave states, and these would provide a valuable guidance for the optimal design of its hydraulic PTO unit.  相似文献

Abstract

The suction anchor becomes more popular for offshore oil and gas industry in deeper water. For suction anchor–soil interaction, the prediction of hydraulic conductivity of porous materials is a long-standing problem in offshore engineering. To investigate the hydraulic characteristics, an upward seepage flow through saturated sands is considered in this study. A numerical approach, which is able to describe the fluid–particle interaction at particle scale, has been employed to analyse fluid flow in sands. This approach is constructed by adopting a coupled discrete element method and computational fluid dynamic approach (CFD-DEM numerical model). The coupled CFD-DEM approach is first benchmarked by a classic geomechanics problem where analytical solutions are available, and then employed to investigate the characteristics of upward seepage flow in coarse sand columns. Through numerical modelling, the predicted relation between hydraulic gradient and flow velocity is obtained and it is compared with the classical analytical correlation. The effect of several bulk and micromechanical parameters including packing porosity, particle size combination and inter-particle rolling resistance on the flow characteristics is numerically examined. The results show that the particle polydispersity and packing porosity have significant effect on the hydraulic conductivity in the seepage flow. The introduction of inter-particle rolling resistance can change initial packing structure of particle assembly in some extent rather than the hydraulic conductivity from the particle shape effect perspective. A further development of numerical model, in which the effect of non-spherical particles on the seepage flow, will be carried out later.  相似文献

海洋天然气水合物稳定带气烟囱结构中存在被水合物充填的裂隙, 表明在自然条件下沉积物中曾发生过流体压裂以及相关的流体流动和水合物形成。在水合物稳定带内实施人为的流体压裂工程, 并联合其他方法(如降压或注热)进行水合物开采, 有望提高开采效率。水合物稳定带内, 无论是自然条件下发生的流体压裂过程, 还是人为实施的流体压裂工程, 都存在水合物反应和沉积物裂隙变形之间的耦合响应。当前, 已有不少数值程序对水合物反应与沉积物弹塑性变形的耦合过程进行了定量研究, 但尚没有数值程序能够计算水合物反应和离散裂隙变形之间的耦合过程。文章将TOUGH+Hydrate程序、IC-FERST和Solidity两者的耦合程序进行了进一步耦合, 为水合物稳定带内的流体压裂计算提供了一种耦合计算方法, 同时通过一个算例初步验证了该耦合计算方法的可行性。验证结果表明, 该耦合计算方法经进一步改进后有望应用于定量研究水合物稳定带内的裂隙变形和水合物反应过程。  相似文献

为缓解淡水资源短缺及化石能源过度使用问题,提出多点液压式波浪能海水淡化系统,该系统主要由采能装置、液压传递系统与反渗透膜海水淡化设备组成。系统的采能装置采用振荡浮子式,可将波浪能转换为浮子振荡从而被液压系统吸收达到采集波浪能的目的。为了提高液压式波浪能海水淡化系统的采能效率及淡水率,利用AMEsim软件对液压传递系统进行建模与仿真,分析了蓄能器、浮子个数及波高对液压传递系统输出响应的影响。结果表明:蓄能器能够使液压马达的输出响应更加稳定;当浮子的数量增加时,液压系统达到稳定的运行状态所需的时间更短,从而有利于提高系统的效率;波高在2 m左右时,本系统的产水量达到最大。  相似文献

将造波水槽内二维浮体牵引弹簧回复液压缸的受力系统简化为弹簧—质量—阻尼器系统,建立数学模型,并根据牛顿第二定律得到运动方程式。采用基于简单格林函数的边界元方法对所研究浮体的水动力学系数和波浪力进行计算,对于施加给液压系统的不同外部阻尼值,由运动方程可得到相应的浮体垂荡运动位移。为求浮体对液压系统做功的最大值,在给定条件下着重对外部阻尼系数进行了优化。  相似文献

A heaving-buoy wave energy converter equipped with hydraulic power take-off is studied in this paper. This wave energy converter system is divided into five subsystems: a heaving buoy, hydraulic pump, pipelines, non-return check valves and a hydraulic motor combined with an electric generator. A dynamic model was developed by considering the interactions between the subsystems in a state space form. The transient pressures caused by starting/stopping the buoy or closing/opening the check valves were predicted numerically using the established model. The simulation results show that transmission line dynamics play a dominant role in the studied wave energy converter system. The length of the pipeline will not only affect the amplitude of the transient pressures but also affect the converted power. The variation of the time-averaged converted electric power with the pipeline length is estimated using the simulation method for the buoy exposed to one irregular sea state. Finally, it is suggested how reduced power efficiency due to the pipelines may be ameliorated.  相似文献

A hybrid numerical method for the hydraulic modeling of a curtain-walled dissipater of reflected waves from breakwa-ters is presented. In this method, a zonal approach that combines a nonlinear weakly dispersive wave (Boussinesq-type equation) method and a Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) method is used. The Boussinesq-type equation is solved in the far field to describe wave transformation in shallow water. The RANS method is used in the near field to re-solve the turbulent boundary layer and vortex flows around the structure. Suitable matching conditions are enforced at the interface between the viscous and the Boussinesq region. The Coupled RANS and Boussinesq method successfully resolves the vortex characteristics of flow in the vicinity of the structure, while unexpected phenomena like wave re-reflection are effectively controlled by lengthening the Boussinesq region. A numerical model is developed by combining a porous flow model and a two-phase flow model to simulate wave transformation in porous structure and hydraulic performances of a composite type low-crest seawall. The structure consists of a wide submerged reef, a porous terrace at the top and an impermeable rear wall. The porous flow model is based on the extended Navier-Stokes equations for wave motion in porous media and kε turbulence equations. The two-phase flow model combines the water domain with the air zone of finite thickness above water surface. A unique solution domain is established by satisfying kinematic boundary condition at the interface of air and water. The free surface advection of water wave is modeled by the volume of fluid method with newly developed fluid advection algorithm. Comparison of computed and measured wave properties shows reasonably good agreement. The influence of terrace width and structure porosity is investigated based on numerical results. It is concluded that there exist optimum value of terrace width and porosity that can maximize hydraulic performances. The velocity distributions inside and in front of the structure are also investigated.  相似文献

本文基于南海11 a逐日高分辨率再分析海流数据,利用三种涡旋识别方法——缠绕角(Winding Angle,WA)法、速度矢量几何(Vector Geometry,VG)法和OW (Okubo Weiss)参数法对南海中尺度涡进行识别和追踪,对比了三种方法对中尺度涡的探测能力,并分析了在高分辨率再分析产品中的适用性。研究表明,产品空间分辨率的提高能够放大OW方法的W参数噪声,使该方法存在涡旋过量检测和涡旋分割现象,导致识别的涡旋数量偏多、半径偏小,涡旋平均成功探测率最低(76.2%);与OW方法相比,WA方法在一定程度上降低了涡旋过量探测率和漏判率,涡旋平均成功探测率提高至85.1%,但涡旋识别时间较长;与前两种方法相比,VG方法的涡旋平均成功探测率可达93.2%,综合评估参数(过量探测率×漏判率÷成功探测率)优势显著(4.5%),且计算高效。因此,在基于高分辨率再分析产品进行中尺度涡识别时,VG方法具有更加合理的涡旋探测结果和更强的适用性。  相似文献
