取甘肃临洮黄土不同深度土层4~16 m样品,分别研究微观结构类型差异及震陷性、剪切波速和元素比值等指标的关系。由于不同深度土层样品形成年代不同,气候条件变化很大,同一场地不同深度剖面所形成的黄土微观结构也存在较大差异,各深度(4 m,8 m,12 m,16 m)土层样品的微结构类型依次为弱剪切结构,易压密结构,密实结构,中强胶结结构;同时震陷系数依次降低,剪切波速依次增大,其中的弱剪切结构的剪切波速仅为142 m/s。研究表明通过土层样品的微观结构类型特征及指标参数分析,可较为全面地判断土层场地,找到震害分析和土层处理的有效指标和参数,并据此进行合理的工程设计,可为黄土地区震害的成因和预防提供理论依据。  相似文献

通过黄土微观结构图像的处理可以很好地提取黄土微观结构要素。本文取通渭老地震区的黄土做震陷实验,应用土体微观结构定量分析系统对不同正弦荷载下震陷土样的微结构图片作定量化结构效应分析,探讨了其不同动应力荷载下的微观结构参数变化规律,并建立了各参数与动应力的对应关系。结果表明,黄土震陷由其微观结构及外部荷载共同决定,各微观要素在震陷过程中有不同变化,孔隙的有效直径、孔径分维、连通率和颗粒定向度的微结构参数变化与残余变形变化基本保持一致。  相似文献

通过电镜扫描手段和计算机图像处理,对1995年永登5.8级地震极震区遭受地震影响和未遭受地震影响的黄土微结构变化的各项指标进行了对比试验和分析,并将分析结果绘成受震与未受震两种孔隙分布曲线。从这些曲线可以看出,不同地点的黄土孔隙分布特征不同;同一深度不同地点的孔隙分布亦有明显差异。对未受震(粒状架空孔隙结构)与受震(粒状镶嵌孔隙结构)黄土的微观结构进行了定量处理,其分析结果较好地解释了土体的工程性质。同时介绍了黄土微结构研究的方法和要求,通过对黄土微观结构的定量处理,揭示了黄土震陷性与黄土孔隙含量所占比例大小的内在关系,达到了确定黄土场地震陷量的目的,验证了利用微结构研究黄土结构变化的可行性。  相似文献

借助电镜扫描分析手段,对Q3震陷性黄土的微结构特征、颗粒形态等进行了分析。结果表明黄土的显微结构对震陷系数有较大影响,并与震陷的临界动应力关系密切。通过孔隙含量的定量测试分析,探讨了中大孔隙对黄土震陷影响,并对土样的微结构某些指标进行了比较和分析。  相似文献

基于动三轴试验和SEM细观结构测试试验,结合图像分析处理软件,对强震荷载前后宝兰客运专线沿线典型震陷性黄土及其经物理、化学和复合改良方法处理后的试样进行微观尺度的结构变形演化规律研究,探讨不同改良方法对土体微结构的影响及其与震陷系数之间的内在联系。结果表明:(1)物理改良方法对于消除大孔隙和架空孔隙结构的效果最为明显,同时对颗粒级配和结构也有调整;(2)化学改性方法则从颗粒接触方式、粒间胶结程度等方面影响土体强度,且不同化学反应的参与可生成独特的玻璃微珠或絮凝状细结构,从而大大提升土体某项参数指标,进而在强震中分别起到填充、胶结或缓冲作用;(3)强震作用前后不同改良方法对各微观要素的改变与相应的残余应变现象吻合较好,说明微结构能有效反映改良黄土残余变形的强弱。  相似文献

黄土的孔隙结构是区别于其他土类的重要特点之一,黄土的湿陷、震陷等宏观力学表现与其孔隙结构密切相关。本文开发了利用Matlab和IPP(Image-Pro Plus)软件相结合的方法对黄土微结构图像进行处理,提出了一种基于灰度计算土的三维孔隙率方法,并对青海西宁、甘肃永登、甘肃兰州、宁夏西吉和山西芮城五处场地的原状黄土微观结构进行了定性与定量分析。结果表明:不同地区的Q3黄土微结构往往与地域、深度以及气候条件密切相关。在定性方面,六盘山附近及以东的地区降雨量较为丰富,颗粒以集粒和凝块为主;而六盘山以西的地区气候较为干旱,颗粒之间接触面较小,易形成架空孔隙。在定量方面,在空间上自西北向东南,黄土大孔隙含量增加;在深度上自上至下,黄土颗粒相互靠拢,粒间距离减小,大孔隙含量减小;随着深度的增加,地应力逐渐增大,黄土颗粒和孔隙受到挤压发生转动和变形,中孔隙和大孔隙的椭圆率变小,其中大孔隙变化显著;土体发生重塑,孔隙排列变得有序,孔隙大小以及孔隙面积在各个区域分布相对均匀,分维数和概率熵减小,玫瑰图曲线变得圆滑。  相似文献

基于文献史料记载和现场科考成果,考证了黄土地区几次中强以上地震引发的黄土震陷灾害,分析了黄土震陷灾害的破坏模式、发育特征及其形成条件。依据大量不同地区黄土的动三轴试验结果,比较分析了黄土震陷形成的物性指标的区域性变化规律,并进一步研究了震陷临界动应力的影响因素。研究显示,黄土地区的几次中强以上地震的极震区均有黄土震陷事例;黄土震陷的灾害模式可区分为振密型震陷、震陷型滑坡和液化型震陷,并由土性条件、地形地貌和地震动作用形式决定;孔隙比大于0.8时,黄土高原地区的黄土需要考虑不同含水量条件下的震陷性,而黄土高原地区东南部的河南、河北和晋东南地区的黄土则可根据缩限含水量判定其震陷性;临界动应力的大小由黄土的结构强度所主导,临界动应力比与含水量之间存在很好的幂函数关系。  相似文献

本文以1995年甘肃省境内5.8级地震引起的黄土地区震陷灾害实例,对黄土微结构孔隙性进行了定量研究。通过电镜扫描手段和SEM图像处理技术,对极震区震陷性黄土微观结构的各项指标进行了比较分析,得出不同地点的黄土孔隙分布曲线;对极震区受地震破坏和未受破坏典型架空孔隙结构的黄土进行了定量处理,较好地解释了土体的工程性质,结合激光粒度分析仪对极震区黄土进行了测量和统计分析。同时对无震区与强震区黄土孔隙分布曲线进行了对比研究。结果表明:不同极震区的孔隙分布特征不同,同一深度不同区域孔隙分布曲线亦有明显的差异。  相似文献

通过对1995年永登地震形成的黄土震陷场地现场考察及震区震陷形成的地震动和黄土厚度条件,用震区震陷试验曲线计算了震区试验震陷量。并通过震区震陷黄土和未震陷黄土微结构对比分析,探讨了黄土震陷形成的机理。结果表明,震区试验计算的震陷量略小于实际地震震陷量;黄土震陷产生的机理为地震力剪切作用下孔隙结构破坏,在重力和压力作用下振动质密所致。  相似文献

回顾了30多年来关于黄土震陷的研究工作和成果.黄土震陷已为微结构特征、动三轴和现场爆破试验所证实,成为黄土地震工程研究领域的一项重要课题,但仍缺少典型震例,且停留在饱和土理论研究阶段.应用微结构形态学方法表征土体结构性变得困难,土力学方法将是微结构应用于震陷性研究的有效途径.震陷性判定仅是在多个参变量值区间内的确定性判定,概率性震陷预测应得到开展.震陷系数估算多是基于室内试验数据的经验公式或半经验半理论公式,并未完全解决其物理过程和力学机制问题,比如参变量多、计算繁琐和实用性差等,故应从黄土震陷的物理力学机制出发,厘清影响黄土震陷的主导因素及其表征参变量,建立具有物理力学意义的数学理论估算模型.抗震陷处理技术的关键是消除土体的震陷性,并减缓震陷时土与土工结构物的相互作用.  相似文献

Chinese loess–palaeosol sequences are well known for their records of monsoonal climatic variations. However, the modern processes of dust accumulation and soil formation remain poorly understood. A high‐resolution investigation on modern soils, including the measurement of magnetic susceptibility, particle‐size distribution, total Fe, total organic carbon, CaCO3 content, and optical stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating was carried out on the Zhouyuan loess tableland in the southern Loess Plateau. The results indicate that modern cinnamon soils (luvisols) have developed on contemporarily accumulated aeolian dust during the Holocene. The aeolian loess accumulated during the Younger Dryas was identi?ed in the top part of the Malan Loess that underlay the modern soil by OSL dating and proxy climatic data. It indicates that the Malan Loess accumulated during the last glaciation (marine isotope stages 2–4) does not serve as the parent material for the modern soils. Pedogenesis of the soils started with the increased precipitation and soil moisture that have occurred on the loess tableland since the early Holocene. Precipitation‐driven pedogenesis and organic activities are responsible for the leaching of CaCO3, decomposition of mineral dust and the production of clay and ferromagnetic minerals. Drier intervals have interrupted soil formation several times, and therefore pro?les with multiple soils have been developed at many sites on the loess tableland. At places where soil erosion was relatively strong, either a single soil or welded soils are preserved in the Holocene pro?les. This does not necessarily mean, however, that modern soils over the plateau have been developed without interruption under a constantly warmer, moister climate. This is signi?cant for understanding the surface processes and climatic variation during the formation of the numerous palaeosols over the Loess Plateau in the Quaternary. From Yulin, which is located in the transitional zone between the Loess Plateau and the Mu Us desert, to Weinan in the southernmost part of the Loess Plateau, 9 loess sections were studied. Grain size analyses show that the advance-retreat changes of the deserts in northern China may be the most important factor controlling changes in the sand particle percentage of the loess-soil sequences during the last glacial-interglacial period. It is thus suggegted to use the sand grain content of loess deposits as a proxy indicator of desert variations. Applying this indicator to the last glacial loess deposits in the northwestern part of the Loess Plateau reveals that there were many millennial-scale cycles of the desert environments. This paper draws on recent optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating to evaluate the long‐held assumption that dust accumulation rates in the Loess Plateau and the extent of active aeolian sand in the dunefields to the north have varied together over time, because both are controlled by the strength of the Asian monsoons and also possibly because the dunefields are proximal loess sources. The results show there is little evidence that high rates of loess accumulation coincided with well‐dated episodes of extensive dune activity in the Mu Us, Otindag, and Horqin dunefields, at 11–8 ka and 1–0 ka. Explanations for the apparent lack of coupling include local variation in the trapping of dust and post‐depositional preservation of the loess and dune sediments, in response to varying local environmental conditions. In addition, a substantial portion of the loess may be transported directly from source areas where dust emission has somewhat different climatic and geomorphic controls than aeolian sand activity within the dunefields. The results of this study cast doubt on the use of loess accumulation rate as a palaeoclimatic proxy at millennial timescale. The dunefield and loess stratigraphic records are interpreted as primarily recording changes in effective moisture at a local scale, but the timing of late Quaternary dune activity, along with a variety of other evidence, indicates that moisture changes in many of the drylands of northern China may not be in phase with precipitation in core regions of the Asian monsoons. 黄土高原中部的陕西泾阳、旬邑黄土剖面具有高分辨率气候记录,记录了130ka 以来的气候波动,一些细微的气候波动也被记录下来。位于大陆的黄土磁化率气候记录可以与南极冰芯气候记录对比。结果表明:Lorius 与 Jouzel 等将冰芯同位素曲线划分为 A、B、C、D、E、F、G、H 冷暖阶段,可与黄土磁化率气候曲线划分的1、2、3、4、(5、6、7)、8,9、10冷暖阶段对比。其中冰芯记录所反映的 A、C、E、G(或黄土记录反映的1、3、5、6、7、9)为暖阶段:B、D、F、H(2、4、8、10)为冷阶段。总之,黄土磁化率记录曲线与冰芯气候记录曲线的形态极为相似,指示了黄土高原地区的大陆气候变化与极地气候变化同受全球变化的影响。这证明了极地冰量变化与东亚大陆冬、夏季风强弱变化,是全球气候变化在极地与大陆的两种表现形式。黄土记录的气候变化时间滞后于冰芯记录,可能暗示着大陆气候变化滞后于极地气候变化。  相似文献

The provenance of loess in Chinese Loess Plateau, including origin, transport pathways and source areas, has long been one of the most important questions. In this study, the vertical variations of the luminescence sensitivity of quartz grains from the central Chinese Loess Plateau were investigated by using optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) techniques. Our results indicate that the luminescence sensitivity of quartz grains of paleosols can be much higher than that of loess beds. In addition, the quartz grains from the loess-paleosol sequence exhibit a temporal trend in the strength of luminescence sensitivity, characterized by higher values in soils and lower values in loess beds. The OSL sensitivity of quartz grains of the loess-paleosol sequence also shows very similar trend to the magnetic susceptibility and particle size fluctuations, implying that the luminescence sensitivity might be climatic dependent. The possible factors affecting the variations of luminescence sensitivity were discussed including particle size, natural radioactivity, and the provenance of eolian deposits. We suggest that the temporal variations of luminescence sensitivity can be attributed to the retreat-advance of deserts, the different contributions of glacial origin quartz particles associated with mountain processes, and wind patterns during glacial/interglacial cycles. Therefore, the secular variations of luminescence sensitivity of quartz grains are ultimately influenced by past climatic change through its controlling on sediment provenance changes.  相似文献

China's Loess Plateau was formed under special conditions. The tectonic movement, topographical characteristics, and monsoon patterns combined to create a favourable environment for the accumulation of thick loessic deposits. The Loess Plateau itself is part of the ‘Monsoon Triangle’ of China, a region very susceptible to climatic changes. Throughout the Upper Pleistocene the palaeoenvironment on the Loess Plateau alternated from steppe, to deciduous forest and coniferous forest, in response to shifts in the atmospheric circulation. Three monsoon patterns appear to be indicated: (1) a full glacial monsoon pattern (18000–15000 yr BP) which induced a cold and dry climate favouring loess accumulation in steppe conditions; (2) an interglacial monsoon pattern (last interglacial and Holocene) in which a warm humid climate prevailed with deciduous forests, leaving palaeosols interbedded within the loess sequence; and (3) a transitional or interstadial monsoon pattern (50 000–23 000 yr BP) in which the climate was cold and humid in the Loess Plateau, encouraging the development of coniferous forest.  相似文献

Based on interpolation of thermoluminescence dates and the mean accumulation rate of 0.034 mm yr?1, four cycles of pedogenic CaCO3 accumulation are found within the Loveland Loess: 415–325 ka, 325–250 ka, 250–195 ka and 195–95 ka. The four CaCO3 peaks correspond chronologically to marine oxygen isotope stages 11, 9, 7 and 5, respectively. The early Wisconsin (95–70 ka) was characterized by sand dune activity. The reddish pedocomplex was formed from 70 to 35 ka under relatively warm and moist climatic conditions with a very slow rate of silt accumulation (0·016 mm yr?1). The Gilman Canyon pedocomplex, enriched in organic matter and dated at 35–20 ka, was formed under a strong physical weathering regime and a relatively high rate of silt accumulation (0·15 mm yr?1), indicating a windy, relatively moist, probably cool environment. It developed when the Laurentide ice sheet was advancing and dust content in Greenland ice core was low. The Peoria Loess was accumulated at a rate of 0·3 mm yr?1 in central Kansas under cold dry conditions when the ice sheet fluctuated around its maximum position and the dust content in the Greenland ice core was the highest. Even the warm substage around 13 ka has some corresponding evidence in the central Great Plains. The well-developed Brady Soil, dated at 10·5–8·5 ka, indicates that the early Holocene was the optimal time for soil development since 20 ka. The poorly weathered Bignell Loess might have been deposited during the Altithermal Period from 8·5 to 6 ka.  相似文献

Hyperconcentrated flows often occur in the middle and lower Yellow River(MLYR)and its tributaries,within which the main sediment source originates from the Loess Plateau of China due to serious water erosion.Little is known about the properties of river sediment that is transported by hyperconcentrated flows,particularly with respect to the mineral composition and size distribution.Samples of sediment and loess were collected in the northern,middle,and southern Loess Plateau and the mainstream and tributaries of the MLYR.A total of 18 loess samples and 24 river sediment samples were analyzed to determine their sediment size distribution and mineral composition.The bottom loess samples reflected the original sedimentary features of the Loess Plateau,and the median particle size reduced,and the clay content increased from the north to the south of the study region.The surface loess has been weathered under the action of wind and rainfall,and the clay particle content in the surface loess samples was higher than that in the undisturbed bottom loess.Erosion of the surface soil due to rainfall and surface runoff means that fine particles(mostly clay)have been washed away.The median diameter of surface loess particles was a little larger than that of the bottom loess particles where water erosion dominates.The particle size became coarser with increasing distance from the estuary in the MLYR,which reflects depositional sorting in the river channel.Significant logarithmic relations were found between the median diameter of the sediment particles and the i)non-clay mineral content and ii)clay mineral content.Thus,clay and non-clay mineral compositions can be conveniently estimated from the particle size distribution.  相似文献

Based on the analysis of temporary-spatial distribution, geomorphic position, contact relationship with underlying strata and grain size of red clay, we studied the formation and environmental background of red clay. During late Miocene-Pliocene, the Ordos Block finished the transformation from the basin to the plateau, which had an obvious environmental effect on the topography, indicated by the formation of highland undergoing wind erosion and lowland receiving red clay deposits. The red clay materials were sourced from dusts carried by wind energy and covered on the initial topography. Unlike Quaternary loess dust covering the overall the Loess Plateau, red clay deposited on the highland would be transported to the lowlands by wind and fluvial process. As a result, there was no continuous "Red Clay Plateau" in the Ordos region and red clay was only preserved in former lowlands. However, red clay was discontinuously distributed through the Loess Plateau and to some extent modified the initial topography. The differential uplift in interior plateau is indicated by the uplift of northern Baiyushan, central Ziwuling and southern Weibeibeishan. The Weibeibeishan Depression formed earlier and became the sedimentary center of red clay resulting in the thicker red clay deposits in Chaona, Lingtai and Xunyi. Since Quaternary the aridity in the northern plateau enhanced and accelerated loess accumulation caused the formation of the Loess Plateau. During the late Pleistocene the rapid uplift led to the enhancement of erosion. Especially after the cut-through of Sanme Lake by the Yellow River, the decline of base level caused the falling of ground water level and at the same time the increase of drainage density resulting in the enhancement of evaporation capacity, which enhanced the aridity tendency of aridity in the Loess Plateau region.  相似文献
