使用接收函数研究壳幔速度间断面和速度结构已是常用的技术,但介质各向异性或倾斜的莫霍(Moho)界面,都会造成接收函数波形的复杂性。本文利用远震P波接收函数计算台站下方的地壳各向异性,通过信噪比测试和谐波分析两种方法来验证各向异性结果的可靠性。通过甘肃地震台网的两个台站记录,讨论各向异性和倾斜界面对接收函数的影响,结果显示,台站BYT(白银)下方具有各向异性,而台站WYT(渭源)下方由于可能存在倾斜界面,得到的各向异性结果则有待进一步分析。为了更好地认识倾斜界面对各向异性计算结果的影响,采用合成理论地震图,计算接收函数,然后利用合成接收函数进行各向异性分析。结果表明,计算得到的快波方向不会受到倾斜界面的影响,但是时间延迟会受到影响。  相似文献

A central target in Earth sciences is the study of deformation at various depth levels within the Earth. Seismology has offered a remarkable tool for doing this via seismic anisotropy. It is however not always clear how to interpret those observations. A question of interest is to understand the relation between the deformation of the mantle and the crust, and in studying the relation between the two. Mantle deformation is expressed in seismic anisotropy. In this paper we seek an objective way of extracting information about crustal fabric as well, to be able to compare with seismic anisotropy. The magnetization of crustal rocks offers an attractive possibility for doing this. We thus explore the use of magnetic data, and we compare magnetic crustal fabric orientation with mantle fabric observations from seismic anisotropy. We apply our technique to the North American craton for which we have an excellent magnetic dataset, and we show that there is a clear relation between crustal and mantle fabric for the cratonic region. This has important implications for crustal formation, and for interpreting seismic anisotropy observations.  相似文献

首先简要介绍了青藏高原目前主流的4种动力学模型, 即俯冲模型、 碰撞模型、 挤出模型和拆沉-板片断离模型. 然后概述了青藏高原及其周地区各向异性的研究进展, 展望各向异性研究的方向, 并着重探讨了各向异性研究中需要重视的几个问题: ① 各向异性的多种来源; ② 各向异性与深部结构的关系; ③ 面波等新方法的应用. 为了更好地定量解释各向异性, 需要了解深部结构与各向异性之间的关系, 发展更加精细的研究手段. 就目前来看, 面波与体波的联合反演可以更好地约束各向异性的分辨率, 而将地球动力学模拟等正演手段与地震波各向异性等反演手段相结合也可能是未来的趋势之一.   相似文献

随着计算机硬件技术的发展以及高分辨率勘探需求的增加,我们希望能够更准确地模拟地下介质,得到更丰富的地层信息.然而,传统的声学假设并不能描述实际地层所存在各向异性和黏滞性,使得成像分辨率较低.为了实现深部储层的高精度成像,本文同时考虑了介质的各向异性和黏滞性,从TI介质弹性波的基本理论出发,结合各向异性GSLS理论,并通过声学近似方法导出基于GSLS模型的各向异性衰减拟声波方程.数值模拟表明该方程既能准确地描述各向异性介质下的准P波运动学规律,又能体现地层的吸收衰减效应;模型逆时偏移结果表明,在实现成像过程中考虑各向异性和黏滞性的影响,能对高陡构造清晰成像,且剖面振幅相对均衡,分辨率较高.  相似文献

穿透含裂隙、裂缝地壳8s视周期的SV波的理论地震图研究表明,当地壳平均裂隙密度高于0.01即横波各向异性高于1%时,非对称面内不同方位的SKS波均发生分裂;地震图中直接的记录显示是切向T分量上出现SKS波的振动,其振幅随地壳平均裂隙密度的增大而增强,甚至能与径向R分量上的振幅相当.局限于上地壳的强裂缝各向异性同样能引起SKS分裂.长周期SKS波分裂对地壳内裂隙、裂缝的分布缺乏分辨率.直立平行排列裂隙、裂缝使得SKS分裂T分量记录特征具有方位对称性,这来自于HTI介质中快、慢波偏振和到时差随方位变化的对称性;而倾斜裂隙、裂缝使得该方位对称性丧失.对实际观测SKS分裂的偏振解释需要考虑地壳裂隙各向异性,特别是断裂附近的强裂缝各向异性.  相似文献

Most sedimentary rocks are anisotropic, yet it is often difficult to accurately incorporate anisotropy into seismic workflows because analysis of anisotropy requires knowledge of a number of parameters that are difficult to estimate from standard seismic data. In this study, we provide a methodology to infer azimuthal P‐wave anisotropy from S‐wave anisotropy calculated from log or vertical seismic profile data. This methodology involves a number of steps. First, we compute the azimuthal P‐wave anisotropy in the dry medium as a function of the azimuthal S‐wave anisotropy using a rock physics model, which accounts for the stress dependency of seismic wave velocities in dry isotropic elastic media subjected to triaxial compression. Once the P‐wave anisotropy in the dry medium is known, we use the anisotropic Gassmann equations to estimate the anisotropy of the saturated medium. We test this workflow on the log data acquired in the North West Shelf of Australia, where azimuthal anisotropy is likely caused by large differences between minimum and maximum horizontal stresses. The obtained results are compared to azimuthal P‐wave anisotropy obtained via orthorhombic tomography in the same area. In the clean sandstone layers, anisotropy parameters obtained by both methods are fairly consistent. In the shale and shaly sandstone layers, however, there is a significant discrepancy between results since the stress‐induced anisotropy model we use is not applicable to rocks exhibiting intrinsic anisotropy. This methodology could be useful for building the initial anisotropic velocity model for imaging, which is to be refined through migration velocity analysis.  相似文献

The magnetic anisotropy of several artificially constructed samples has been measured with different types of instruments in several laboratories. Susceptibility bridge determinations have given consistent results, but the magnitude of the anisotropy determined by the Digico anisotropy delineator is incorrect. For future measurements with this instrument it is necessary to make either a simple calibration change or to make a minor change in the associated computer program. A set of equations for correcting the old published data is given.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to understand the seismic anisotropy of the overburden shale in an oilfield in the North West Shelf of Western Australia. To this end, we first find the orientation of the symmetry axis of a spherical shale sample from measurements of ultrasonic P‐wave velocities in 132 directions at the reservoir pressure. After transforming the data to the symmetry axis coordinates, we find Thomsen's anisotropy parameters δ and ? using these measurements and measurements of the shear‐wave velocity along the symmetry axis from a well log. To find these anisotropy parameters, we use a very fast simulated re‐annealing algorithm with an objective function that contains only the measured ray velocities, their numerical derivatives and the unknown elasticity parameters. The results show strong elliptical anisotropy in the overburden shale. This approach produces smaller uncertainty of Thomsen parameter δ than more direct approaches.  相似文献

Surface electrical and electromagnetic methods have a limited resolution capability for determining the conductivity structure of the earth. In one-dimensional modelling a collection of many thin layers is frequently considered as one composite layer, which is then macro-anisotropic. Neither galvanic methods nor inductive methods alone can resolve the anisotropy of the ground, but a joint inversion of galvanic and inductive data may do so. The necessity of including the coefficient of anisotropy in the joint inversion of galvanic and inductive sounding data is demonstrated. An analysis is made of the combined use of geoelectrical and transient soundings to resolve the coefficient of anisotropy of a subsurface layer for varying thickness, resistivity and coefficient of anisotropy. It is found that the coefficient of anisotropy is well resolved only for layers that are many times thicker than the overburden and for coefficients of anisotropy that are not too small. The ability of the joint inversion of geoelectrical and transient sounding data to resolve macro-anisotropic layers is tested using realistic earth models determined from electrical logs.  相似文献

Variations in the cosmic-ray vector anisotropy observed on Earth are closely connected with the state of the near-Earth interplanetary medium. Hourly characteristics of vector anisotropy for the period 1957–2013, which were obtained by the global survey method from the data of the worldwide network of neutron monitors, make it possible to study the relationship between the cosmic-ray anisotropy and solar wind parameters. In the present work, we have studied the connection between the equatorial component of anisotropy of cosmic rays with a rigidity of 10 GV and the following parameters: velocity and density of the solar wind; density of the interplanetary magnetic field; and cosmic-ray density variations, in which the spatial gradient of cosmic rays in the interplanetary medium is manifested. The characteristics of cosmic-ray anisotropy at various combinations of the interplanetary medium parameters are compared. The possibility of diagnosing the solar wind state from data on the cosmic-ray anisotropy is discussed.  相似文献

Summary Measurements have been made of the dieletric anisotropies of a number of rocks for which magnetic anisotropy data have been obtained previously. The purpose was to examine the possible usefulness of dielectric anisotropy as a physical property indicative of rock fabrics. Its advantage over the magnetic method is that it measures an average alignment of crystals of the dominant minerals, whereas magnetic anisotropy is due only to the ferromagnetic grains. Disadvantages are an extreme sensitivity to specimen shape and difficulty in distinguishing the several types of alignment which can give rise to dielectric anisotropy. In a number of strongly foliated rocks the axes of dielectric anisotropy were found to coincide with the axes of magnetic anisotropy. Specimens from a magnesian-pyroxene rich layer in a Tasmanian dolerite sill and from the olivine rich layer of the Palisades dolerite sill, New York, were found to have no systematic anisotropy. The pyroxenes in the Tasmanian dolerite are elongated crystals (about 2: 1) so that the dielectric measurements show that they do not have a preferred horizontal alignment and therefore have probably not settled as individual crystals. Most of the olivines in the Palisades dolerite are more nearly equidimensional so that the absence of measurable anisotropy in this rock is less conclusive evidence against crystal settling.  相似文献

We consider a transversely isotropic medium that is long-wave equivalent to a stack of thin, parallel, isotropic layers and is obtained using the Backus average. In such media, we analyse the relations among anisotropy parameters; Thomsen parameters, ε and δ, and a new parameter ϕ. We discuss the last parameter and show its essential properties; it equals 0 in the case of isotropy of equivalent medium and/or constant Lamé coefficient λ in layers. The second property occurs to make ϕ sensitive to variations of λ in thin-bedded sequences. According to Gassmann, in isotropic media the variation of fluid content affects only the Lamé coefficient λ, not μ; thus, the sensitivity to changes of λ is an essential property in the context of possible detection of fluids. We show algebraically and numerically that ϕ is more sensitive to these variations than ε or δ. Nevertheless, each of these parameters is dependent on the changes of μ; to understand this influence, we exhibit comprehensive tables that illustrate the behaviour of anisotropy parameters with respect to specific variations of λ and μ. The changes of μ in layers can be presented by the Thomsen parameter γ that depends on them solely. Hence, knowing the values of elasticity coefficients of equivalent transversely isotropic medium, we may compute ϕ and γ, and based on the aforementioned tables, we predict the expected variation of λ; in this way, we propose a new method of possible fluid detection. Also, we show that the prior approach of possible detection of fluids, proposed by Berryman et al., may be unreliable in specific cases. To establish our results, we use the Monte Carlo method; for the range and chosen variations of Lamé coefficients λ and μ – relevant to sandstones – we generate these coefficients in thin layers and, after the averaging process, we obtain an equivalent transversely isotropic medium. We repeat that process numerous times to get many equivalent transversely isotropic media, and – for each of them  – we compute their anisotropy parameters. We illustrate ϕ, ε and δ in the form of cross-plots that are relevant to the chosen variations of λ and μ. Additionally, we present a table with the computed ranges of anisotropy parameters that correspond to different variations of Lamé coefficients.  相似文献

An account is given of the use of the square array technique in investigating the surface effects of rotational anisotropy when the axes of anisotropy are inclined to the surface. It is shown that, as with other arrays, two anisotropy parameters and n can be derived by varying the array orientation. On the basis of these considerations, the effects of such anisotropy on the values of the mean apparent resistivity and azimuthal inhomogeneity ratio normally obtained in square array measurements is reviewed. Particular attention is paid to the variation of resistivity with orientation and it is noted that, in areas of moderate anisotropy, this variation is lower for the square than for the Schlumberger array. In addition to this advantage, the azimuthal inhomogeneity ratio obtained from square array measurements may be used to indicate the severity of anisotropy in an area and two field examples of this use are given. Where anisotropy is severe, gross variations of apparent resistivity with orientation are obtained with either square or collinear arrays. In these circumstances, the use of crossed measurements is considered and the particular stability of the crossed square array demonstrated.  相似文献

—During the last 30 years, considerable evidence of seismic anisotropy has accumulated demonstrating that it is present at all scales, but not in all depth ranges. We detail which conditions are necessary to detect large-scale seismic anisotropy. Firstly, minerals must display a strong anisotropy at the microscopic scale, and/or the medium must be finely layered. Secondly, the relative orientations of symmetry axes in the different crystals must not counteract in destroying the intrinsic anisotropy of each mineral, and there must be efficient mechanisms of orientation of minerals and aggregates. Finally, the strain field must be coherent at large scale in order to preserve long wavelength anisotropy. Part of shallow anisotropy can be related to the past strain field (frozen-in anisotropy), however the deep anisotropy is due to the present strain field. All these conditions are fulfilled only in boundary layers of convective mantle.¶We review in this paper, the seismic data sets which provide insight into the location at depth of large-scale anisotropy from the D"-layer up to the lithosphere. In addition to the well-documented seismic anisotropy in the lithosphere and asthenosphere, there is new evidence of seismic anisotropy in the upper (400–660 km) and lower (660–900 km) transition zones and in the D"-layer. Nonetheless the bulk of the lower mantle seems close to isotropy. If we assume the hypothesis that seismic anisotropy is associated with boundary layers in convective systems, these observations strongly suggest that the transition zone is a boundary layer which makes the pasage of matter between the upper and the lower mantle difficult. However, this general statement does not rule out flow circulation between the upper and lower mantles. Finally, the geophysical, mineral physics and geological applications are briefly reviewed. An intercomparison between surface wave anisotropy and body-wave anisotropy data sets is presented. We discuss the scientific potential of seismic anisotropy and how it makes it possible to gain more insight into continental root, deformation and geodynamics processes.  相似文献

冰雷达技术已成为目前探测南极冰盖内部结构的主要技术手段.近年发展起来的多极化雷达技术可根据不同方向雷达反射功率的变化推断冰盖内部冰晶组构特征和变化规律,进而推断冰盖内部应力应变历史,这对于理解冰流机制和动力过程以及解释冰盖过去、现在和未来的变化规律具有非常重要的作用.本文从Maxwell方程出发,推导出适于介电常数各向异性的三维电磁波时域有限差分方程,进而建立模型模拟各向异性介质的响应输出及其时空分布特征.模拟结果表明: (1) 电磁波在各向异性介质中传播时,波前面为椭圆形,长轴位于介电常数小的主轴方向; (2) 横向各向异性介质反射波振幅在水平面内具有180°的变化周期.通过对现场常用三种天线装置类型模拟对比分析发现,不同天线类型各向异性层底界面反射波存在“时差”现象,并且时差大小和正负与上下层介电常数差异以及同层各向异性差异有关.在模拟计算的基础上,作者讨论了由于介电常数各向异性导致的“时间延迟”和水平面内振幅“周期性变化”的原因.模拟结果和结论对于南极冰盖冰雷达数据处理和解释工作具有指导意义.  相似文献

Flow exchange between surface and groundwater is of great importance be it for beneficial allocation and use of water resources or for the proper exercise of water rights. In large‐scale regional studies, most numerical models use coarse grid sizes, which make it difficult to provide an accurate depiction of the phenomenon. In particular, a somewhat arbitrary leakance coefficient in a third type (i.e., Cauchy, General Head) boundary condition is used to calculate the seepage discharge as a function of the difference of head in the river and in the aquifer, whose value is often found by calibration. A different approach is presented to analytically estimate that leakance coefficient. It is shown that a simple equivalence can be deduced from the analytical solution for the empirical coefficient, so that it provides the accuracy of the analytical solution while the model maintains a very coarse grid, treating the water‐table aquifer as a single calculation layer. Relating the empirical leakance coefficient to the exact conductance, derived from physical principles, provides a physical basis for the leakance coefficient. Factors such as normalized wetted perimeter, degree of penetration of the river, presence of a clogging layer, and anisotropy can be included with little computational demand. In addition the river coefficient in models such as MODFLOW, for example, can be easily modified when grid size is changed without need for recalibration.  相似文献
