本研究运用多尺度变换和摄动法简化具有地形强迫的正压准地转涡度方程,得到带有扰动项的非线性Shr?dinger方程,在此基础上,采用孤立子直接微扰理论研究地形强迫对偶极型阻塞结构的作用。研究表明:地形强迫对偶极型阻塞发展具有增强和持续作用,其增长率与大地形山体的斜率成正比。   相似文献

By using a two-level, highly truncated spectral model,the equilibrium states of ultra-long waves induced by topographic and thermal forcing are obtained, and the instabilities of the states are studied. It is found that there exist some stable equilibrium states possessing typical characteristics of blocking situation. Some inferences about the dynamic mechanism of blocking phenomenon are deduced since the solutions are analytically obtained.  相似文献

A parametrically excited higher-order nonlinear Schr dinger (NLS) equation is derived to describe the interaction of a ,slowly moving planetary-scale envelope Rossby soliton for zonal wavenumber-two with a wavenumber-two topography under the LG-type dipole near-resonant condition. The numerical solution of this equation is made. It is found that in a weak background westerly wind satisfying the LG-type dipole near-resonance condition, when an incipient envelope Rossby soliton is located in the topographic trough and propagates slowly, it can be amplified through the near-resonant forcing of wavenumber-two topography and can exhibit an oscillation.However, this soliton can break up after a long time and excite a train of small amplitude waves that propagate westward. In addition, it is observed that in the soliton-topography interaction the topographically near-resonantly forced planetary-scale soliton has a slowly westward propagation, but a slowly eastward propagation after a certain time. The instantaneous total streamfunction fields of the topographically forced planetary-scale soliton are found to bear remarkable resemblance to the initiation, maintenance and decay of observed omega-type blocking high and dipole blocking. The soliton perturbation theory is used to examine the role of a wavenumber-two topography in near-resonantly forcing omega-type blocking high and dipole blocking. It can be shown that in the amplifying process of forced planetary-scale soliton, due to the inclusion of the higher order terms its group velocity gradually tends to be equal to its phase velocity so that the block envelope and carrier wave can be phase-locked at a certain time.This shows that the initiation of blocking is a transfer of amplified envelope soliton system from dispersion to nondispersion. However, there exists a reverse process during the decay of blocking. It appears that in the higher latitude regions, the planetary-scale envelope soliton-topography interaction could be regarded as a possible mechanism of the establishment of blocking.  相似文献

引入一维加权平均的谱分析方法定量研究四川地形强迫对该区域降水分布的影响。结果表明:纬向地形和冬季降水谱峰锁相于同一波长(475.8 km),呈共振关系,地形与其他季节降水呈漂移关系,这与经向和纬向上环流变动有关,即冬季纬向环流占主导,纬向地形触发的大气波动对冬季降水策动作用大;夏季降水是各种不同尺度系统相互作用的结果,地形是重要因素之一。经向和纬向地形特征尺度分别为296.8 km和475.8 km,反映了地形强迫的中尺度特征,且纬向地形谱峰比经向大1个数量级,纬向强迫更明显。夏季降水谱峰比冬季大2个数量级,降水系统纬向特征尺度比冬季小约150 km,说明夏季在纬向地形强迫下,降水系统尺度减小的同时其强度大大增加,这在一定程度上可以解释中尺度对流性降水在夏季偏多。四川夏季最大降水位于雅安地区,其地形扰动比四川整体扰动更明显,故产生的降水也更大。夏季降水和经向地形锁相于同一波长(37.1 km),经向地形对雅安夏季强降水起关键作用。  相似文献

An inhomogeneous KdV equation including topographic forcing is derived by usingperturbation expansions and stretching transforms of time and space.The generation of forcedsolitary Rossby waves by topography in a near-resonant flow and their interactions with freesolitary waves are discussed,and some interesting results are obtained.The numerical resultsshow that the topography has obvious effect on enhancing the amplitude of disturbances,and itmay explain to some degree the formation of blocking by localized topography.  相似文献

用谱方法(T42)求解半球球面无辐散正压涡度方程,采用实际的干旱环流资料,分别在有地形和无地形的情况下,求出其对应的干旱环流型的强迫场,模拟了在强迫场的作用下干旱环流的形成、维持情况及在强迫场消失后干旱环流型的崩溃情况。结果表明:(1)强迫场在干旱环流型的形成、维持及崩溃过程中起重要作用;(2)青藏高原的存在使其东北侧干旱形成和崩溃均加快。  相似文献

In a weakly nonlinear model how an initial dipole mode develops to the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) in a localized shifting jet under the prescribed eddy forcing is examined. It is found that the zonal structure of the eddy-driven NAO anomaly is not only dominated by the longitudinal distribution of the preexisting Atlantic storm track, but also by the initial condition of the NAO anomaly itself associated with the interaction between a localized shifting jet and a topographic standing wave over the Atlantic basin. When both the initial NAO anomaly and the eddy vorticity forcing in the prior Atlantic storm track are more zonally localized, the subsequent eddy-driven NAO anomaly can be more zonally isolated and asymmetric. But, it seems that the shape of the initial NAO anomaly associated with the latitudinal shift of a prior Atlantic jet plays a more important role in producing the zonal asymmetry of subsequent NAO patterns. The zonal asymmetry of the NAO anomaly can be enhanced as the height of topography increases. In addition, it is further found that blocking events occur easily over the Europe continent through the decaying of positive-phase NAO events. However, prior to the positive-phase NAO life cycle the variability in each of three factors: the Atlantic jet, the eddy vorticity forcing in the Atlantic storm track and the initial NAO anomaly can result in a variation in the blocking activity over the Europe sector in strength, duration, position and pattern.  相似文献

文中导得了包括热力强迫和耗散的非线性强迫KdV-Burgers方程,并作了数值求解。计算结果表明,热力强迫和耗散是孤波质量和能量变化的主要原因,耗散使孤波质量能量随时间指数衰减;热力强迫与地形一样,都能在强迫区产生定常孤波,但前者产生的上游扰动振幅更大,而后者产生的下游扰动更为明显;加热和地形一样都能使孤波发生位相漂移,减小其移速,阻挡孤波的移动,从而增加与孤波的相互作用时间;适当大小的耗散与热力强迫的组合迫使移动性孤波在强迫区附近来回振荡,大大增加与热力强迫的相互作用时间;在耗散与热力强迫同时存在的非线性系统中,移动性孤波与热力强迫的相互作用可能是产生阻塞等长生命周期的局地准定常系统的重要因子。  相似文献

应用1980-1995年5天平均的CMAP降水资料、美国NMC850hPa风、卫星反演的向外长波辐射(OLR)和上部对流层水汽亮温(BT)等资料分析比较了南海夏季风爆发前后的基本特征。结果发现:BT能够反映南海夏季风的爆发及其与周围地区降水的关系,但局地降水信息的反映不够具体;OLR能够比较好的反映热带海洋上的降水,但陆地上的低值OLR可能受到地形的影响,仅仅850hPa风场不能完全确定夏季风的爆发。南海季风转换区域定义在南海的中北部比较合适,这是因为南海夏季风爆发前就存在着长年位于南海南部的带海洋对流性雨带;南海夏季风爆发后西南季风气流和季风雨带从印度洋经孟加拉湾和南海伸向西北太平洋,开始了南亚和东亚夏季风的爆发过程。  相似文献

利用热带气旋资料和天气图、卫星云图等观测资料,统计分析了1949-2008年入侵台湾岛及邻近区域的热带气旋出现的各类异常路径的时间、空间分布规律及成因。结果表明,异常路径的形成是环境流场和台湾地形共同作用的结果,在特定的环流形势下,台湾地形的影响,导致入侵这一带区域的热带气旋结构及其周围的气压场和流场发生变化,并可能诱生出地形槽或低压。热带气旋出现左折、右折、打转和诱生低压发展取代原热带气旋的异常路径,发生在不同地点的异常路径,地形和环境作用的主次关系不同。  相似文献

With the aid of a global barotropic model, the role of the interaction of the synoptic-scale disturbance and the planetary flow in block onset is examined by a 4-dimensional variational approach. A cost function is defined to measure the squared errors of the forecasted stream functions during block onset period (day 4 and day 5 in this study) over a selected blocking domain. The sensitivity of block onset with respect to the initial synoptic-scale disturbance is studied by examining the gradient of the defined cost function with respect to the initial (during the first 24 hours) vorticity forcing, which is evaluated by the adjoint integration. Furthermore, the calculated cost function and gradient are connected with the limited-memory quasi-Newton optimization algorithm for solving the optimal initial vorticity forcing for block onset. For two studied cases of block onset (northern Atlantic and northern Pacific) introducing the optimal initial vorticity forcing, the nonlinear barotropic advection process mostly reconstructs these blocking onset processes. The results show that the formation of blocking can be correctly described by a barotropic nonlinear advection process, in which the wave- (synoptic-scale) flow (planetary-scale) interaction plays a very important role. On an appropriate planetary-scale flow, a certain synoptic-scale disturbance can cause the blocking onset by the interaction between the synoptic scale perturbations and the planetary scale basic flows. The extended forecasts show that the introduction of the optimal initial vorticity forcing can predict the blocking process up to the 7th or 8th day in this simple model case. The experimental results in this study show that the 4-dimensional variational approach has a good potential to be applied to study the dynamics of the medium-range weather processes. This simple model case study is only an initial trial. Applying the framework in this study to a complex model will further our understanding of the mechanism of the atmospheric/oceanic processes and improve their prediction.  相似文献

The erosion of a model stratospheric polar vortex in response to bottom boundary forcing is investigated numerically. Stripping of filaments of air from the polar vortex has been implicated in the occurrence of stratospheric sudden warmings (SSWs) but it is not understood in detail what factors determine the rate and amount of stripping. Here a shallow water vortex forced by topography is used to investigate the factors initiating stripping and whether this leads the vortex to undergo an SSW. It is found that the amplitude of topographic forcing must exceed some threshold (of order 200–450 m) in order for significant stripping to occur. For larger forcing amplitudes significant stripping occurs, but not as an instantaneous response to the forcing; rather, the forcing appears to initiate a process that ultimately results in stripping several tens of days later. There appears to be no simple quantitative relationship between the amount of mass stripped and the topography amplitude. However, at least over the early stages of the experiments, there is a good correlation between the amount of mass stripped and the global integral of wave activity, which may be interpreted as a measure of the accumulated topographic forcing. Finally there does not appear to be a simple correspondence between amount of mass stripped and the occurrence of an SSW.  相似文献

利用ERA5再分析资料、新一代雷达拼图资料,探究了2017年5月初四川盆地东北部一次突发性暴雨事件的影响系统及动力影响因子。结果表明:此次暴雨事件的主要影响系统有中纬500 hPa东移低槽、西伸的西太平洋副热带高压、对流层中低层的西南低空急流以及低层切变线。大尺度的低空急流与中小尺度的山区低空急流的叠加使四川盆地东北部形成正涡度柱和低层强辐合柱的动力耦合,低空急流最大风速出口辐合上升区与地形的辐合抬升作用叠加形成盆地东北部强烈的垂直上升运动,成为山地暴雨突发的动力触发条件,因低空急流建立的位势不稳定层结构成暴雨的热力条件。冷空气自低层逐渐向高层侵入是暴雨第二阶段增幅的主要原因。盆地东北部地形是本次暴雨的另一个增幅因子,其对暴雨过程中垂直上升运动有加强作用,秦巴山脉迎风坡的抬升作用对暴雨第一阶段的降水量贡献较大,青藏高原东麓背风坡的辐合效应对第二阶段降水量贡献较大。此外,盆地东北部山地对东移的中尺度对流系统有阻挡作用,使其停滞并旺盛发展。  相似文献

A study of the circulation in the northern South China Sea (SCS) is carried out with the aid of a three-dimensional, high-resolution regional ocean model. One control and two sensitivity experiments are performed to qualitatively investigate the effects of surface wind forcing, Kuroshio intrusion, and bottom topographic influence on the circulation in the northern SCS. The model results show that a branch of the Kuroshio in the upper layer can intrude into the SCS and have direct influence on the circulation over the continental shelf break in the northern SCS. There are strong southward pressure gradients along a zonal belt largely seaward of the continental slope. The pressure gradients are opposite in the southern and northern parts of the Luzon Strait, indicating inflow and outflow through the strait, respectively. The sensitivity experiments suggest that the Kuroshio intrusion is responsible for generating the imposed pressure head along the shelf break and has no obvious seasonal variations. The lateral forcing through the Luzon Strait and Taiwan Strait can induce the southwestward slope current and the northeastward SCS Warm Current in the northern SCS. Without the lateral forcing, there is the continental slope. The wind forcing mainly causes the The wind-induced water pile-up results in the southward no high-pressure-gradient zonal belt seaward of seasonal variation of the circulation in the SCS. high pressure gradient along the northwestern boundary of the basin. Without the blocking of the plateau around Dongsha Islands, the intruded Kuroshio tends to extend northwest and the SCS branch of the Kuroshio becomes wider and stronger. The analyses presented here are qualitative in nature but should lead to a better understanding of the oceanic responses in the northern SCS to these external influence factors.  相似文献

着重探讨大西洋阻高和东亚阻高个例中瞬变扰动位涡(涡度)输送强迫和太平洋阻高中平均流位涡平流的形成机理。结果表明,扰动在阻高西南部西风分流区因形变而产生的扰动拟能向更小尺度串级过程,并不是扰动位涡输送强迫形成的必要机理。扰-流相互作用在阻高西(北)部非分流气流中也十分显著。数值试验表明,这一相互作用也可能是扰动强迫作用形成的机理。而青藏高原和附近海陆对比的强迫作用则可能是太平洋阻高中平均流的位涡平流形成的重要因素。对比分析表明,阻高维持机制的地域性差别可能与其上游(如青藏高原地区、落基山脉)地形和热源强迫作用不同有关。  相似文献

利用中尺度数值模式MM5对2003年3月14~16日发生在内蒙古中部偏南地区的一次强降雪过程进行了二重嵌套的48 h数值模拟研究。结果表明:模式较好地模拟了本次过程强降雪中心的强度、位置以及强降雪的时间变化。导致本次过程降雪产生的主要影响系统是地面倒槽和700 hPa中α尺度低涡,其影响时间相对持久。强降雪的出现则是由于高空短波槽产生的高层强辐散强迫与低层增强的辐合相互耦合所致。高低层系统这一适宜配置的维持时间相对短暂,却导致了本次过程降雪强度的两个峰值的出现。同时,中α尺度低涡的形成和加强及其与低空暖湿急流的适宜配置也是强降雪产生的一个有利因素。阴山山脉对本次过程强降雪的强度和位置具有重要影响:山脉使降雪在其南麓增强,北麓减弱。山地强迫抬升是导致这一结果的直接原因。另外,山地在其迎风坡使上升运动增强的同时也使正涡度减小和低层辐散增强。  相似文献
