Deep-sea ferromanganese nodules were dissolved by HNO 3 -HF-HClO in a sealed container at low pressure; HF was evaporated in an open container and salts were dissolved in HCl by heating, then transferred to a 2% HNO 3 solution. Forty-one elements including Li, Be, Sc, Ti, V, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Rb, Sr, Y, Zr, Mo, Cd, In, Sb, Cs, Ba, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Hf, Ta, W, Tl, Pb, Bi, Th and U, were measured by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Conditions and sample experiments showed that this procedure is a good experimental method with the characteristics of correct principle, clear interference, easy operation, and reliable results. The concentrations of the 41 elements could be used for resource exploration, environmental assessment, and academic research.  相似文献

本文对北极东西伯利亚陆架表层沉积物进行了粒度、黏土矿物以及常微量元素测定,阐述了粒度、黏土矿物和常微量元素的分布特征。利用因子分析与聚类分析划分了不同的沉积区,并探讨了各区沉积物的主要来源。结果表明,研究区可以划分为4个沉积区:(1)东西伯利亚海近岸河口区(Ⅰ区),沉积物以粉砂和砂质粉砂为主,TiO2、Zr、SiO2含量较高,其他元素在该区都处于低值,La/Th与Zr/Hf比值在4个沉积区中为最大值,黏土矿物中伊利石含量占绝对优势,约为70%,该区受到河流与海岸侵蚀物质输入的强烈影响;(2)东西伯利亚海中部(Ⅱ区),沉积物以粉砂和泥为主,MnO、Ba与Ni等元素在该区含量较高,黏土矿物组合与Ⅰ区类似,La/Th和Zr/Hf比值比Ⅰ区略低,该区沉积物以河流输入的细粒沉积物为主,受海冰等过程的影响发生了混合,随着离岸距离的增加,海洋自生组分开始增多;(3)东西伯利亚海北部深水区(Ⅲ区),沉积物以泥为主,Al2O3、K2O、V、Li等在该区达到最大值,La/Th和Rb/Th比值与Ⅱ区极其类似,伊利石含量在该区为最低值,蒙皂石与高岭石含量在该区达到最大值(>10%),该区细粒沉积物很可能受大西洋水体以及波弗特环流的影响;(4)楚科奇海(Ⅳ区),该区沉积物主要由粉砂和砂质粉砂组成,CaO、P2O5等在该区含量较高,Rb/Th、La/Th与Zr/Hf均为4个沉积区的最小值,绿泥石在该区最为富集,该区沉积物受太平洋入流水的影响强烈。  相似文献

通过提取黄河、辽河和鸭绿江表层沉积物中的碎屑矿物角闪石,对单矿物采用电子探针,对群体角闪石采用ICP-MS和ICP-AES分析其常量元素及微量元素组成。结果表明:角闪石单矿物主成分在一定范围内有较大变化,都具有高Si、Ca、Mg和低Na、K的特征;3条河流的角闪石晶体化学都归属钙角闪石组,半数以上矿物种为镁角闪石;角闪石群体矿物化学显示黄河角闪石的稀土元素浓度明显高于黄土和黄河全岩沉积物,而且重稀土比轻稀土更富集,说明角闪石是黄河和黄土沉积物稀土元素的主要载体之一,角闪石含量变化会对全岩样品稀土元素含量造成重要影响。微量元素特征显示新旧黄河样品间差别很小,与其同一来源物质的事实相符。虽然黄河、辽河和鸭绿江河流样品角闪石主成分相近,但微量元素方面(元素含量、元素含量对比值及特征值)显示较明显不同,样品间多种数值指标相对偏差在20%以上,可作为物源识别的判别标志,如微量元素Ba、Li、Rb、Cs、Ta、Tl、Pb、La、Ce、Pr、Nd等含量的差异,元素对比值c(La)/c(Y)、c(Sr)/c(Rb)、c(Zn)/c(Cu)、c(Gd)/c(Cd)、c(Li)/c(Be)、c(Rb)/c(Cs)、c(Sr)/c(Ba)、c(Hf)/c(Ta)、c(Pb)/c(Bi)等的差异;特征值∑c(REE)、Σc(LREE)、∑c(HREE)、∑c(LREE)/∑c(HREE)、[c(La)/c(Lu)]N、[c(La)/c(Yb)]N、[c(La)/c(Sm)]N等的差异。  相似文献

Investigations based on a complex of techniques revealed that the modern deposits in the Northern Caspian Sea involve terrigenous sands and aleurites with an admixture of detritus and intact bivalve shells, including coquina. Generally, these deposits overlay dark grayish viscous clays. A similar geological situation occurs in the Volga delta; however, the local deposits are much poorer in biogenic constituents. Illite prevails among the clay minerals. The heavy transparent minerals are represented in the coarse aleurite fraction mostly by epidotes, while quartz and feldspars represent the lighter minerals. The sedimentary material in the Volga delta is far from completely differentiated into fractions due to the abundance of terrigenous inflows, which exceed the energy potential of the river. The comparatively better grading of the sediments at the testing sites is due to additional factors such as the bottom currents and storms. When passing from the Volga delta to the testing sites, the sediments are enriched in rare earth elements (except Eu), Ca, Au, Ni, Se, Ag, As, and Sr but depleted in Na, Rb, Cs, K, Ba, Fe, Cr, Co, Sc, Br, Zr, Ta, U, and Th. The concentrations of Zn remain almost unchanged. The sedimentation rates and the types of recent deposits in the Northern Caspian Sea are governed mainly by the abundant Volga discharge.  相似文献

The Late Triassic mudstones are considered to be the most significant hydrocarbon source rocks (TOC: 0.54%–3.29%) in the North Qiangtang Depression, eastern Tethys. Here, we present geochemical data from the Woruo Mountain Carnian mudstones, in order to investigate their paleoclimate, paleoenvironment, and provenance and to analyze the mechanism of organic material accumulation. The paleoclimate condition was warm and humid during the Carnian mudstones deposition, as indicated by moderate chemical index of alteration (CIA; 73–76), which may be connected with the Late Triassic Carnian stage global climate event in the Tethys. The low U/Th (0.17–0.25) and Corg/Ptot (7–33) ratio values and moderate manganese contents, reflect the oxidizing conditions during the Carnian mudstones deposition. The relatively high primary productivity in this study is supported by the relatively high P concentrations. The Al2O3–(CaO* + Na2O)–K2O ternary plot and Th/Sc–Zr/Sc crossplot reflect that the source areas have undergone a medium chemical weathering with weak sedimentary recycling. The TiO2–Zr, Co/Th–La/Sc, La/Th–Hf, and La/Yb–∑REE bivariate diagrams indicate that the provenance of Carnian mudstones was primarily from felsic igneous rocks. The collision setting has been identified based on the multi-major elements discriminate plots in the present study. The Riwanchaka and Mayigangri masses to the southwest and south of the study area consisting mainly of Middle-Triassic granodiorite and Late-Triassic granite are likely responsible for supplying provenance to the Woruo Mountain Carnian mudstones, which have similar REE patterns. The relatively high TOC contents of Carnian mudstones are related to high paleoproductivity and fast sedimentation rates, which will lead to preservation of some organic matter even when bottom waters are completely oxidizing. The detrital input during the Carnian mudstones deposition would result in dilution of organic matter.  相似文献

对雪宝顶碱性花岗岩具有高丰度的W、Sn、Be含量和W、Sn矿化花岗岩的微量元素组合特征进行了分析,结果显示:稀土元素具有∑REE含量与LREE/HREE比值偏低和负Eu异常的特点;元素比值K/Rb,U/Th,Nb/Ta的规律性变化以及矿脉产状特征等表明W-(Sn)-Be脉状矿床形成于岩浆演化晚期,与岩浆期后的热液活动有关。  相似文献

Isaac Channel 3 is a rare outcrop example of a perpendicular cut through a sinuous deep-water channel, and also where levee deposits formed on opposite sides of the channel are well exposed. Strata flanking the outer- and inner-bend margin of the channel show important differences in lithofacies, architecture and association with channel-fill strata. Proximal outer-bend levee deposits are sand-rich (N:G up to 0.68) and comprise medium- to thick-bedded, Ta-d turbidites interstratified with thinly-bedded, Tcd turbidites. The thicker-bedded deposits show lateral variation in grain size and thickness over hundreds of meters whereas thin-bedded strata thin and fine negligibly over similar distances. The distal outer-bend levee (up to 700 m laterally away from the channel) consists predominantly of thin-bedded turbidites interstratified with up to 5 m thick coarse-grained splay deposits. In contrast to the outer-bend, the inner-bend levee deposits are significantly more mud-rich (N:G as low as 0.15) and consist mostly of thin-bedded, Tcd turbidites with less common thicker-bedded, Ta-d turbidites. Lateral thinning and fining trends associated with these less common thicker-bedded deposits occur more rapidly than their outer-bend counterparts.Erosion associated with lateral migration of the channel axis produced a sharp contact along the outer-bend channel margin causing coarse-grained channel-fill deposits to be in erosional contact with levee deposits. This suggests that the crest of the outer-bend levee was elevated above the channel floor and produced a channel margin upon which channel-fill strata onlapped. Positive topography is interpreted to have developed by overspilling processes that deposited abundant sand on the outer-bend levee while the majority of the flow continued through the channel bend and bypassed to areas further downslope. In contrast, some thick-bedded, amalgamated channel-fill deposits in the axial channel area grade laterally over 140 m into thinly-bedded turbidites on the inner-bend levee. The lack of channel-fill on lap relationships implies that topography along the inner bend was sufficiently subtle that at least some flows were able to expand laterally and over the overbank area without becoming separated from the main throughgoing channel flow.Stratal relationships observed in Isaac Channel Complex 3 suggests three main episodes of channel-levee growth that were each initiated by a period of increased levee relief followed by channel filling and distal levee deposition. This consistent depositional history points to the regular variations, in both time and space, of sediment transport and deposition in a deep-marine sinuous channel-levee system.  相似文献

冲绳海槽中南部广泛分布一套浮岩类岩石,其中以灰白色酸性浮岩为主,化学组成相当于英安流纹岩,深灰色中基性浮岩零星出露,化学组成与玄武安山岩相当.研究表明本区浮岩属造山带地区火山岩,形成于强烈构造活动构造背景,稀土元素标准化模式相似,均表现为负铕异常,表明它们之间的同源性,并经历过不同程度不同的斜长石分异作用.除Sr和中部浮岩的Yb有明显亏损以外,其它微量元素均表现为明显富集,尤其是Ba、Rb、Th、La和Ce等大离子亲石元素表现为显著富集.  相似文献

The contents of seven major components (TiO2, Fe2O3, MgO, CaO, Na2O, K2O and P2O5) and 15 trace elements (Sc, V, Cr, Ni, Cu, Sr, Y, Zr, Ba, La, Ce, Nd, Eu, Yb and Th) were determined by ICP-AE spectrometry in 27 samples of manganese nodules, micronodules as well as abyssal clay collected by dredging from an area of nearly 1,9802 nautical miles in the central Clarion-Clipperton abyssal plain at a depth of about 4,500 m. Statistical analyses were used to compare among individual as well as pooled datasets, in addition to different indicators such as La/Th, Ni/Cu and LREE/HREE ratios for the Clarion-Clipperton samples, as well as between these and corresponding values for the upper continental crust (UCC), North America Shale Composite (NASC), and igneous Indian and Pacific Mid-Ocean Ridge Basalts (MORBs). The results show significant correlations between major components in the Clarion-Clipperton samples and Pacific Ocean MORB, whereas trace elements (excepting Ni and Cu) correlate better with the UCC and NASC. There is also depletion in LREEs, together with a Ce negative anomaly for all Clarion-Clipperton samples. The nodule, micronodule and abyssal clay datasets each reveal typical clusters of components such as P2O5 and Y, La, Nd, Eu, Tb, or Ni and Cu. Compared to abyssal clay, the nodule as well as micronodules show significant enrichment in Ni and Cu; nevertheless, an essentially constant Ni/Cu ratio indicates that all samples come from the sediment surface. The distributions of major components as well as trace elements for the Clarion-Clipperton samples present, to different degrees, characteristics common to both the upper continental crust and Mid-Ocean Ridge Basalt, strongly implying a hydrothermal origin, most probably from East Pacific Rise material transported by the Pacific North Equatorial Current.  相似文献

Abstract

It is clear from morphology alone that distinctly different dynamic and sedimentary processes can be expected to be associated with the Greater Antilles Outer Ridge relative to those of the adjacent Nares Abyssal Plain. This difference is further substantiated by seismic reflection data which show the ridge to be a very large prism of acoustically transparent sediment in contrast to the stratified deposits of the abyssal plain. An examination of the geotechnical properties of the near‐surface (0 to 2.4m) deposits of the two areas also reveals distinct differences in their sedimentological characteristics. The outer ridge sediments, of more or less homogenous clay‐size material, display much higher water contents, porosities, sensitivities, plasticity, and organic carbon contents in contrast to the abyssal plain deposits which are much less homogenous owing to the presence of turbidite sequences. The turbidites themselves are uniquely contrasted to the other abyssal plain sediments by their higher silt content, wet bulk density, shear strength, and sensitivity.  相似文献

The Xujiajuan Formation of the Lower Xiangshan Group in Ningxia, China, is composed of grayish-green to yellowish-green, fine- to medium-grained sandstone, calcareous sandstone, siltstone, and shale. The upper part is thin-bedded limestone. At the top of the second and third members of the formation, a number of beds intercalated between turbidites and deep-water shale show well-developed cross-bedding. These beds are composed mainly of thin- to medium-bedded calcareous siltstone, fine-grained sandstone, fine-grained calcisiltitic limestone, and silty shale. All bedding types reflect traction-current action. The laminae of the bidirectional and unidirectional cross-bedded units tend to dip either opposite to or at a large angle to the regional slope. The units vary in shape and orientation in both upslope and downslope directions. A comprehensive evaluation of the sedimentary structures and inferred paleocurrents suggests that the cross-bedded intervals were not formed by contour currents or turbidity currents, but most probably represent internal-wave and internal-tide deposits.  相似文献

对南海S08-57站柱样岩心的CaCO3、SiO2、Al2O3、TFe2O3、MgO、CaO、Na2O、K2O、TiO2、P2O5、MnO、Cu、Pb、Zn、Co、Ni、Ba、Sr、Rb、V、Cr、La、Ce和Ta的含量变化进行了分析;根据CaCO3含量变化建立了碳酸钙地层时标,提出了南海碳酸钙地层学的SB4.0事件,进一步完善了南海标准碳酸钙地层学时标;讨论了沉积物地球化学特征及古海洋学意义。结果表明,S08-57柱样岩心的SB3.33m事件附近存在一次强碳酸盐沉积,Al2O3、TiO2、Nb、SiO2、K2O、Ta、La、Rb、Ce、MgO、Zn、TFe2O3、Na2O、V、Pb和Cr的沉积曲线与CaCO3近似呈镜像关系。  相似文献

对东马努斯盆地高镁安山岩做了全岩主微量和Sr-Nd-Pb同位素分析,并结合前人测试数据,探究了岩浆物质来源及演化过程。由主量元素[MgO、CaO、FeOT(全铁)、Al_2O_3、TiO_2和P_2O_5]含量随着硅含量的升高而降低和La/Sm随着La含量的升高而保持不变可知,岩浆在演化过程中只发生了矿物的分离结晶,分离的矿物可能为橄榄石、辉石、斜长石、钛铁矿和磷灰石。东马努斯盆地高镁安山岩的Pb和大离子亲石元素(K,Rb,Sr,Ba和U)的富集、高场强元素(Nb,Th,Ta和Ti)的亏损说明岩浆受到了俯冲板块脱水作用的影响。推测该区高镁安山岩是流体交代的地幔楔部分熔融形成的。由Sr-Nd同位素混合模拟结果可知东马努斯盆地高镁安山岩主要来源于马努斯MORB(洋中脊玄武岩),少量来自于太平洋蚀变洋壳和海底沉积物。根据Sr-Nd-Pb同位素特征推测岩浆混合作用发生在地幔源区,属于源区混染,岩浆在喷发的过程中没有发生同化混染作用,也没有加入其他体系的物质。  相似文献

To understand the transport process of lithogenic particles in the ocean, we measured the grain size distributions of lithogenic particles and measured the opal, La, Yb, Th, and Sc concentrations of the settling particles collected from time-series sediment traps at Sta. KNOT (44°N, 155°E, water depth 5320 m) from June 2002 to May 2004. The annual mean lithogenic particle flux observed at the lower sediment trap (5100 m) was twice as high as that at the upper sediment trap (770 m). The contribution of Asian loess estimated by the La/Yb and the Th/Sc ratios in the lower layer was greater than that in the upper layer. The fluxes of small lithogenic particles with sizes of 3–4 μm at the lower layer (5 to 65 mg/m2/day) were approximately four times larger than that at the upper layer (0.6 to 27 mg/m2/day). These results indicate that the horizontal addition of small particle sizes of Asian loess is a main factor in the increase of lithogenic particles at the lower layer. The temporal variations in the small lithogenic particle flux at the lower layer had a positive correlation with those at the upper layer (r = 0.71). The small lithogenic particle fluxes showed a strong positive correlation with the opal fluxes (r = 0.9). We therefore conclude that the small lithogenic particles were laterally transported and scavenged by the formation of aggregates with opal.  相似文献

 Seine Abyssal Plain sediments consist of turbidites interbedded with pelagic oozes, marls, and clays. The pelagics produce a high-resolution integrated stratigraphy combining oxygen isotope, carbonate curves, palaeotemperature analyses, and nannofossil acme zone stratigraphy. Individual turbidites could then be correlated. Isogram and isopach maps of the turbidites maximum median grain size and thickness, respectively, were used to identify turbidity current pathways and study their depositional processes. 冲绳海槽中段热液活动区表层沉积物的主、微量和稀土元素分析结果表明:区内沉积物主要由陆源物质与热液源物质组分组成,Hg、Au、Sb、Cu、Pb、Zn、Ba、As、Fe和Co等微量元素富集;沉积物的化学风化程度中等,A-CN-K图解表明其暂未受到钾交代影响,且其母岩成分接近花岗闪长岩;北美页岩标准化稀土配分模式曲线整体较为平坦,轻重稀土分馏较弱,部分样品具有与热液流体类似的明显正铕异常.受热液活动影响,部分沉积物中的Fe、Cu、As、Pb和Zn显著富集,结合样品所处站位,整体显示含金属沉积物-过渡沉积物-正常沉积物的空间分配模式.结合(La/Sm)N、(La/Yb)N比值指示区内沉积物的陆源物质主要来自于黄河与台湾岛河流.  相似文献

利用岩心扫描X荧光光谱仪(XRF Core Scanner)对南黄海DLC70-3孔沉积物进行1cm间隔的元素扫描测试。钻孔沉积物中陆源元素Rb和Zr相对含量垂向变化具有极好的分层性,Rb和Zr相对含量在不同粒级中变化较大,Rb在细粒中的含量较高,而Zr则在粗粒级中富集;Rb/Zr值可以反映沉积物中黏土矿物和石英、长石的相对含量变化。研究认为DLC70-3孔沉积物的Rb/Zr值受到海平面变化和源区气候变化共同控制,其中源区的气候变化为主要控制因素,而海平面变化主要影响26.50~38.00m(MIS 4)层位粗粒级沉积物的Rb/Zr值。Rb/Zr值显示在MIS 5和MIS 3期源区化学风化作用较强,与内陆黄土高原地区夏季风和化学风化指标的变化趋势一致,尤其是在MIS 3早期(40~60ka)记录的化学风化作用非常强,反映了黄河流域地区出现强夏季风降雨过程。  相似文献

The deep-water area of the Pearl River Mouth Basin in the South China Sea has received much scientific attention since the Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Leg 184 in 1999 due to its potential economic prospects and distinct tectono-sedimentary evolutionary processes. In this study, we present the composition of major and trace elements from two newly sampled deep-water boreholes (BY6 and LW3) in the Baiyun Sag of the southern Pearl River Mouth Basin. The geochemical evolution in the Oligocene–Middle Miocene, as well as potential controlling factors, are investigated based on a comparative study with previous data from ODP site 1148 and borehole PY33. The Chemical Index of Alteration (CIA) and A–CN–K plot reveal that the observed weathering trends are not compatible for the four discussed boreholes. Sedimentary sorting is primarily observed in borehole PY33, where data trend away from the A apex to the feldspar join in the A–CN–K plot and show a spread of Al2O3/SiO2 and Nb/Zr ratios. Compared to chemical weathering and hydrodynamic sorting, provenance has a greater impact on sediment composition of the deep-water area. From the north, the Pearl River was the primary sediment supply. However, a positive Eu anomaly and the provenance discrimination diagrams (i.e., La/Th versus Th/Yb and Zr/Co versus Th/Co) reveal the mafic nature of borehole BY6 sediments in the Zhuhai–Lower Zhujiang (32.0–18.5 Ma) and Upper Hanjiang (13.8–10.5 Ma) formations. These compositions are unusual and differ from the well-defined felsic sources in the majority of the Baiyun Sag; these discrepancies are likely related to multistage magmatism. The sediments at site 1148 are characterized by slightly enriched heavy rare earth elements and relatively high Zr/Co ratios, which could possibly be caused by zircon enrichment from local sources.  相似文献

从样品制备、仪器操作参数最佳化、内标补偿等几方面着手,利用两个标准物质(GSPN-2,GSPN-3)发展了大洋多金属结核中27种元素的等离子体质谱(ICP-MS)测定方法.这27种元素包括Ba,Ce,Co,Cu,Dy,Er,Eu,Gd,Ho,La,Li,Lu,Mo,Nd,Pr,Sb,Sc,Sm,Tb,Th,Tm,U,V,W,Y,Yb和Zn.各元素测定值与保证值相当吻合.对GSPN-2和GSPN-3,Ba,Sb,Sc,Y,Zn等5种元素可用外标校准法准确测定,其平均回收率(n=3)在91.4%~106.9%之间;可用内标(103Rh)校准法准确测定其他22种元素,其平均回收率(n=3)在89.4%~110.2%之间;各元素3次测定的相对标准偏差(RSD)为0.0%~11.0%.  相似文献
