| 摘 要： | 父亲是世纪同龄人 ,从 50岁到 80岁是他生命的春天。他以常人在这个年龄难以迸发的热情、智慧、不懈努力和顽强开拓的精神 ,在地质战线上为新中国建设辛勤耕耘 ,是一位在地学领域涉足宽广、具有科学预见能力、富有领导组织才能的科学家和领导者。他总是关注未来 ,特别热心于培养年轻人 ,对建立一支高水平、有解决问题能力的地质队伍下了很大功夫。父亲沉静善思、富有哲学头脑 ,他的许多预见性学术观点和开创性思维都源于他宁静淡泊的心态。没有浮华和功利 ,这便是他智慧的源泉。

| Abstract: | With the founding of New China, father regained his youthful vigor. During his venerable ages of 50 to 80, he worked diligently in the field of geology for the construction of New China, with the enthusiasm, intelligence, unceasing effort and spirit of tenacious pioneering that such aged ordinary person could hardly have. As a scientist and leader capable of giving scientific foresight and rich in leading and organizing ability, he had set foot in wide scopes of the field of geology. At that time when all neglected tasks in our nation needed to be undertaken, father was eager to meet the needs of the nation and he thought what the nation wanted.
What father thought over and again in his mind was geology and construction, and the focus of his attention was always the future. In particular, he made great effort to train the youth. He arranged young people to attend important field practice and spared no pains to interpret on the spot. He made great efforts to create working chances and learning conditions for those who had just graduated.
Father was placid, good at thinking and rich in philosophical brains; he did not seek fame and wealth and was far-reaching seeing; and what he considered was the development of geoscience in the future. His habit was to write and draw on small paper sheets for recording his thinking. Perhaps many of his initiative ideas and foreseeing scientific points of view were hidden in those small paper sheets.
He had said to the family members, "It is annecessary to build up public image." Also, he persistently held in his later years, "It is valueless to live for life's sake." He said to the younger generation, "You should support yourselves by your own labor instead of leading a dependent life."
Father was a contemporary of the 20th century. The very voice and face of father' s seem still there when we cherish the memory of him today. Recalling father' s whole life undoubtedly makes our soul purified and sublimated again. |
