Abstract:
Based on the daily average temperature, daily maximum temperature and daily minimum temperature data from 1980 to 2017 in the "Dataset Of Daily Climate Data From Chinese Surface Stations For Global Exchange (V3.0) ",the characteristics of 77 regional cold waves are analyzed statistically according to the Sichuan Basin Cold Wave Operational Standard, and the variations of daily average temperatures and daily maximum and minimum temperatures are analyzed as well. The results show that the frequency of the cold waves in Sichuan Basin had an increasing trend in these 38 years, with a growth rate of 0.18 times/10a,but it was not significant. However, the strength of the cold waves was significantly enhanced, with a growth rate of 1.1℃/10a. Meanwhile, the average maximum temperatures and minimum temperatures both demonstrated weak upward trends, and the warming trends were more significant in winter than in spring and autumn.? During the cold waves, within 24 hours, the maximum temperature decreased, and the minimum temperature generally did not drop significantly; nearly 50% of the meteorological stations also rose; the cumulative drop of the maximum temperature in spring and autumn was significantly greater than that in winter, while the seasonal difference of the cumulative drop of the minimum temperature was not significant. The change trend of temperature in 72 hours is similar to that in 24 hours.
