Abstract:The antiskid performance of highways was tested both in the laboratory and on the higgway, tne relationship between highway antiskid performance and temperature, as well as the state of the pavements, is studied. The results indicate that the antiskid performance of the pavements varies with the changing temperature or state of the pavements; there is a notable negative effect on antiskid performance at low temperature and in ice and snow weather in winter; the influence of meteorological conditions is related to the standard antiskid performance of highways.
