Abstract:The airborne cloud and precipitation particle image probe for aircraft observation is the main detection method for cloud microphysics research. Before transferred and stored in PC, particle image data from the image probe should be compressed, which makes it necessary to use special software for subsequent particle image playback. Based on the structure analysis of cloud particle image data, the combination of message queuing and JKI state machine is used in the system design of software structure. Using the graphic programming language LabVIEW, the cloud and precipitation particle image playback software is developed, which can display, extract, and store the information of cloud and precipitation particle images and provide references for researches on cloud and precipitation physics.
