Lyapunov exponent of surrounding rock system in process of unloading for deep-buried tunnel

Abstract: Rock is a kind of physical nonlinear complicated medium, under deep-buried condition the deformation of surrounding rock system shows geometrical nonlinear; and the interaction between two nonlinear mechanisms makes the unloading of surrounding rock system evolved complexly. Based on Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua 3 Dimensions, shear-tension failure model of Mohr-Coulomb is established. Numerical simulation of deep-buried tunnel surrounding rock system is introduced by using large deformation method; and chaotic dynamic theory is drawn into. From the results of numerical simulation, Lyapunov exponent has been extracted from evolution data in the unloading process of surrounding rock system. The analysis indicates that the typical chaos character has been demonstrated in the process of unloading for deep-buried tunnel surrounding system; and the evolution of surrounding rock system is sensitive to the initial condition.
