Abstract:For the practical need of prospecting and exploration for buried orebody, three dimension prospectivity modelling based on integrated geoinformation is a useful tool. However, it is still lack of systematic study on it, and the workflow and method of it remains to be further discussed. This paper proposes a relative comprehensive method and workflow of three dimension prospectivity modelling for prediction of the buried orebody, including data collection and database management, three dimension geological modelling and geophysical data integration, geologic characteristic spatial analysis and exploration criteria extraction, multidimensional and multisource data integration and prediction information sets construction and three dimension prospectivity mapping. Because this method and workflow can integrate 3D geological modeling, multidimensional spatial analysis techniques, geophysics method and prospectivity modelling, the usefulness and reliability of 3D prospectivity modelling improved effectively. In order to verify the validity of the workflow and method, this paper takes Ninwu basic as an example, based on ore field with medium scale and mining area with large scale, carries out the three dimension prospectivity modelling for buried orebodies. The workflow and method shows a good result and proves that can be efficiently used for the deep buried orebodies quantitative prediction in new and old mining area.
